Test and Interview Leave. An employee shall be allowed appropriate time off with pay to take tests related to promotional opportunities within the Agency. Up to two (2) hours with pay shall be allowed for an interview for a position with another State Agency, or a position within the Agency. Authorization for the use of Test and Interview Leave shall not be withheld unless the Agency determines that the use of such leave shall handicap the efficiency of the employee's work unit.

  • Training Leave A bargaining unit member who is directed by the University to engage in specified training and/or education as a condition of continued employment will be maintained in a regular pay status for the duration of such training.

  • Intermittent Leave 7 Intermittent leave without pay used in lieu of sick leave is not 8 subject to the six (6) month entitlement provided for above. When such leave significantly 9 affects an employee’s job performance and is not subject to the requirements of law 10 (including but not limited to the FMLA), management may evaluate the employee’s use of 11 leave according to the criteria of “Section B.2.c” above. Medical information as provided 12 for in “Section D.1” above may be required for the evaluation. After completing the 13 evaluation management may do one of the following:

  • Annual Leave Loading (a) In addition to their ordinary pay, an employee, other than a shiftworker, will be paid an annual leave loading of 17.5% of their ordinary pay on a maximum of 152 hours/four weeks annual leave per annum.

  • Pregnancy/Birth Allowance (a) A Nurse entitled to pregnancy leave under the provisions of this Agreement, who provides the Employer with proof that she has applied for, and is eligible to receive employment insurance (E.I.) benefits pursuant to Section 22, Employment Insurance Act, S.C. 1996, c.23, shall be paid an allowance in accordance with the Supplementary Employment Benefit (S.E.B.).
