TRAINING/CONTINUING EDUCATION. 31.01 - Training and Development The Employer and the Union recognize the need for training and development of employees in order that services are efficiently and effectively provided and employees are afforded the opportunity to develop their skills and potential.

TRAINING/CONTINUING EDUCATION. I am required by the state to take, at least, 15 hours of continuing education per year. I will try to take most of my training in the evenings and on weekends but that is not always possible for some of the courses. I will inform you in the event I will need to take time during the week.
TRAINING/CONTINUING EDUCATION. The employer agrees to provide payment for continuing education credits for all employees who have a CEU or Continuing Legal Education requirement as part of her/his license which is required for his/her position. Employees who have a CEU or Continuing Legal Education requirement as a part of her/his license which is applicable to his/her position may request approval to attend at LAWV expense. Requests for CEU or CLE made within the last six months of a reporting period for an employee’s license should be approved unless unreasonably costly.
TRAINING/CONTINUING EDUCATION. Any training, initial and/or recurrent that is required by State or Federal law, Executive Order, or Presidential Directive shall be provided to the Firefighter(s) free of charge and shall be done while the Firefighter is on duty. Fire District agrees to provide training OR reimburse the Firefighters subject to availability of funds, approval of supervisor, approval of a training plan and in the sole discretion of the Board (nongrievable) for costs related to the following certifications, upon satisfactory completion:
TRAINING/CONTINUING EDUCATION. Employees will be offered, at no cost to the employee, all training provided to other Employees to maintain their certification status and skills while they are in layoff status.
TRAINING/CONTINUING EDUCATION. The City shall reimburse tuition, and book expenses to the employee upon satisfactory completion of a recognized course of job related continuing education instruction. Such job related instruction must be reviewed and approved by the City Administrator prior to the initiation of cost in order to be eligible for reimbursement. Such eligible reimbursement may be entered into individually by the employee and City and a reimbursement to the City is required should the employee terminate their employment early, as per to the schedule given at time of acceptance to the individual. Job related instruction does not include mandatory training necessary to maintain minimum licensing requirements. Actual expenses (lodging costs, registration fees, meals, and transportation) will be reimbursed for any City initiated (required) on-duty training out-of-station. Required in- station training would be compensated for pursuant to the overtime provision.

  • Continuing Education 24.01 The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • Continuing Education Allowance (a) A registered nurse or enrolled nurse who holds a continuing education qualification in a clinical field, in addition to the qualification leading to registration or enrolment, shall be paid an allowance subject to the conditions set out in this clause.

The state will make a reasonable effort to continue existing training programs in law enforcement techniques and to develop new programs in performance review techniques, supervisory skills, and managerial techniques.

  • Public Education 7.1.01 Inform and educate the public about vaccines and vaccine- preventable diseases

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Distance Education Distance education means instruction in which the instructor and student are separated by distance and interact through the assistance of communication technologies. All distance education courses and sections will be designated as such in the District schedule of classes. Distance education courses include hybrid (see glossary) instruction and fully online instruction.

  • Special Education Services 1. The parties agree to uphold the tenets contained within the "Special Education Services: A Manual of Policies, Procedures and Guidelines” document (February 2011) published by the BC Ministry of Education.
