Training Policy and Programmes. 4.4.1 The Service Provider shall ensure that it maintains a staff training policy and programme(s) such that its staff possess current and appropriate knowledge, skills and competencies to undertake their role and which enables the Service Provider to undertake its obligations under this Contract. The Service Provider‟s training policy and programme shall include (but not be limited to) the requirements detailed in Clause 4.4 and Clauses 4.7 to 4.14 (as applicable to the role). The policy shall also reflect the National Training Organisation (NTO) modules applicable to its staff and its arrangements for the review and maintenance of individual staff competency assessments. 4.4.2 The Service Provider shall ensure that each of its selected trainers is appropriately qualified and has relevant experience to deliver the required training programmes to appropriate standards to Service Provider‟s staff. The Authority may, where training is deficient, request written evidence from the Service Provider detailing such qualifications and experience.. 4.4.3 The Service Provider shall provide training for all its operational (PCO) escort staff which prepares them for certification and employment as PCOs acting in pursuance of Prisoner escort arrangements as defined by the CJ&PO Act, 1994 or as amended (see Table 1, Schedule of Training). The Service Provider shall ensure that its staff are kept abreast of changes and developments in operational, legislative and security matters. 4.4.4 All training and course scheduling leading to certification of PCOs throughout the Contract shall be validated by, and completed to the satisfaction of the Authority. The training programme shall include, as a minimum, a range of core modules prescribed and agreed with the Authority including training for all PCOs in Control & Restraint hereinafter referred to as C&R techniques to the level determined by the Authority. 4.4.5 The Service Provider shall be responsible for the testing and assessment of its staff during training as detailed in the Service Provider‟s proposal within Volume 1, Section 7, dated 29th November 2002. The Authority shall undertake periodic audits or reviews of the Service Provider‟s training and assessment processes to ensure that the training provides a relevant skill-base to enable Service Provider staff to fulfil their required role.   • Training Plan 19.6.1 An apprentice shall be a party to an individual Training Plan. 19.6.2 The Training Plan sets out the training that the apprentice will do both on – the – job and off – the – job. The Training Plan also sets out how the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) will ensure the apprentice will receive quality training – both on – the – job and off – the – job. 19.6.3 The Training Plan reflects the choices made by the employer and the apprentice in relation to:-

  • Training and Promotion a. The contractor will assist in locating, qualifying, and increasing the skills of minorities and women who are applicants for employment or current employees. Such efforts should be aimed at developing full journey level status employees in the type of trade or job classification involved. b. Consistent with the contractor's work force requirements and as permissible under Federal and State regulations, the contractor shall make full use of training programs, i.e., apprenticeship, and on-the-job training programs for the geographical area of contract performance. In the event a special provision for training is provided under this contract, this subparagraph will be superseded as indicated in the special provision. The contracting agency may reserve training positions for persons who receive welfare assistance in accordance with 23 U.S.C. 140(a). c. The contractor will advise employees and applicants for employment of available training programs and entrance requirements for each. d. The contractor will periodically review the training and promotion potential of employees who are minorities and women and will encourage eligible employees to apply for such training and promotion.

  • Policy and Procedures If the resident leaves the facility due to hospitalization or a therapeutic leave, the facility shall not be obligated to hold the resident’s bed available until his or her return, unless prior arrangements have been made for a bed hold pursuant to the facility’s “Bed Reservation Policy and Procedure” and pursuant to applicable law. In the absence of a bed hold, the resident is not guaranteed readmission unless the resident is eligible for Medicaid and requires the services provided by the facility. However, the resident may be placed in any appropriate bed in a semi-private room in the facility at the time of his or her return from hospitalization or therapeutic leave provided a bed is available and the resident’s admission is appropriate and meets the readmission requirements of the facility.

  • SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND PROGRAMS The Contractor shall be responsible for initiating, maintaining and supervising all safety precautions and programs in connection with the Work.

  • Proposed Policies and Procedures Regarding New Online Content and Functionality By October 31, 2017, the School will submit to OCR for its review and approval proposed policies and procedures (“the Plan for New Content”) to ensure that all new, newly-added, or modified online content and functionality will be accessible to people with disabilities as measured by conformance to the Benchmarks for Measuring Accessibility set forth above, except where doing so would impose a fundamental alteration or undue burden. a) When fundamental alteration or undue burden defenses apply, the Plan for New Content will require the School to provide equally effective alternative access. The Plan for New Content will require the School, in providing equally effective alternate access, to take any actions that do not result in a fundamental alteration or undue financial and administrative burdens, but nevertheless ensure that, to the maximum extent possible, individuals with disabilities receive the same benefits or services as their nondisabled peers. To provide equally effective alternate access, alternates are not required to produce the identical result or level of achievement for persons with and without disabilities, but must afford persons with disabilities equal opportunity to obtain the same result, to gain the same benefit, or to reach the same level of achievement, in the most integrated setting appropriate to the person’s needs. b) The Plan for New Content must include sufficient quality assurance procedures, backed by adequate personnel and financial resources, for full implementation. This provision also applies to the School’s online content and functionality developed by, maintained by, or offered through a third-party vendor or by using open sources. c) Within thirty (30) days of receiving OCR’s approval of the Plan for New Content, the School will officially adopt, and fully implement the amended policies and procedures.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "D", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • General Guidelines Conduct yourself in a responsible manner at all times in the laboratory.

  • Safety Policy The City agrees to maintain in safe working condition all facilities and equipment furnished by the City to carry out the duties of each bargaining unit position, but reserves the right to determine what those facilities and equipment shall be. The Association agrees to work cooperatively in maintaining safety in the Xenia/Xxxxxx Central Communications Center.

  • Violence Policies and Procedures The Employer agrees to have in place explicit policies and procedures to deal with violence. The policy will address the prevention of violence, the management of violent situations, provision of legal counsel and support to employees who have faced violence. The policies and procedures shall be part of the employee's health and safety policy and written copies shall be provided to each employee. Prior to implementing any changes to these policies, the employer agrees to consult with the Association.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.
