Tuesday to Saturday Workweek. 1. Any regular full-time custodial, maintenance or grounds employee covered by this Agreement who is hired on or after August 7, 2014 may be assigned to a regular workweek of Tuesday to Saturday, consisting of 40 hours per week on the basis of 8 hours per day exclusive of lunch; except during the months of July and August, Christmas, mid-Winter and Spring recesses, the work day will be 7 hours (excluding lunch) and 35 hours per week. i. The District will post in each building any vacancy for a custodial, maintenance or grounds employee to be assigned to the Tuesday to Saturday schedule for a period of at least seven calendar days. Any regular, full-time employee holding the job title listed on the posting may submit a written request to be assigned to that position. ii. It is agreed that, when all conditions and qualifications are equal, seniority will prevail in granting a request to be assigned to the Tuesday to Saturday schedule. 2. Employees assigned to a regular workweek of Tuesday to Saturday will be assigned to work a day shift on Saturdays regardless of the shift they are assigned to work on the other days of the workweek. Upon receiving the prior written approval of the Director of Facilities or his/her designee, an employee assigned to the evening shift (2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) will be permitted to work a shift of 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Tuesday to Saturday Workweek. 1. A Tuesday to Saturday shift shall only be a day shift and shall consist of forty (40) hours in five consecutive days, Tuesday to Saturday inclusive. Employees working a Tuesday to Saturday day shift shall not rotate with those on Monday to Friday shift except as provided for in 10.03(a)5. Employees working Tuesday to Saturday shift shall take Sundays and Mondays as days of rest.

Premium Employees working a Tuesday to Saturday day shift shall receive a premium over and above their classified rate for all hours worked on Saturday as defined in Article Parts Employees working in the Parts may, at their election, share the Tuesday to Saturday work and in that event employees may rotate with those on the Monday to Friday Shift. Graveyard Shift A Workweek That Includes Sunday The Company agrees that if a Graveyard shift and/or a workweek that includes Sunday is implemented vacancies on these shifts will be filled by new hires if there are no volunteers. Therefore, no employee of record on June shall be required to work these shifts. Collective Agreement between International Trucks Inc. and CAW Local Employees working graveyard shift and/or a workweek that includes Sunday shall work forty (40) hours in five consecutive days and shall take two consecutive days as days of rest. Premium for Days of Rest Work All work performed on a day scheduled as an employees day of rest by employees working on graveyard shift or a workweek that includes Sunday shall be paid overtime at the rate of time and one-half for the first four (4) hours and double time thereafter. If the employee is required to work both days of scheduled days of rest shall receive double for all work performed on the second day.

When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Monday An employee should not work more than 16 hours and must take an 8 hour break before continuing work. Therefore, an employee called in at 7:00 p.m. Sunday could work until 11:00

  • Saturday and Sunday Work (a) Where an employee is rostered to work ordinary hours between midnight Friday and midnight Saturday, the employee will be paid a loading of 50% of their ordinary rate of pay for the hours worked during this period. (b) Where an employee is rostered to work ordinary hours between midnight Saturday and midnight Sunday, all employees excluding home care employees will be paid a loading of 75% of their ordinary rate of pay for the hours worked during this period. (c) Casual employees will be paid in accordance with Clauses 35(a) and 35(b). The rates prescribed in Clauses 35(a) and 35(b) will be in substitution for and not cumulative upon the casual loading prescribed in Clause 12.5(b). (d) These extra rates will be in substitution for and not cumulative upon the shift penalties prescribed at Clause 38 Shiftwork.

  • Saturday Work A day worker required to work overtime on a Saturday shall be afforded at least four hours work or paid for four hours at the rate of time and one half for the first three hours and double time thereafter, except where the overtime is continuous with overtime commenced on the previous day.

  • Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, etc If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall not be a Business Day, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding Business Day.

  • Holidays on Saturday or Sunday When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding workday not a holiday shall be deemed to be that holiday. When a holiday falls on Sunday, the following workday not a holiday shall be deemed to be that holiday.

  • Payments Due on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays If the date of maturity of interest on or principal of the Securities of any series or the date fixed for redemption or repayment of any such Security shall not be a Business Day, then payment of interest or principal need not be made on such date, but may be made on the next succeeding Business Day with the same force and effect as if made on the date of maturity or the date fixed for redemption, and no interest shall accrue for the period after such date.
