UNION OFFICERS, COMMITTEE MEMBERS AND STEWARDS COMPENSATION. (a) The Company shall compensate officials of the Union for time spent out of their regular duties for the purpose of conducting Union business as it relates to the Collective Agreement. Such payment shall be at the employee's regular straight time hourly rate.

UNION OFFICERS, COMMITTEE MEMBERS AND STEWARDS COMPENSATION. The Company shall compensate officials of the Union for time spent out of their regular duties for the purpose of conducting union business as it relates to the collective agreement. Such payment shall be at the employee’s regular straight time hourly rate. For purposes of negotiations such payment shall be limited to three (3) days and shall not include conciliation. The Company will not compensate an employee for time spent travelling to or from, or in attendance at any arbitration proceedings arising out of this agreement. For time spent on union business, not compensated for by the Company, the Company will pay the person as if they had been at work on normal schedules. The Company will present the Union with a statement showing the amounts owing at the end of each applicable month and the Union will reimburse the Company at that time.
UNION OFFICERS, COMMITTEE MEMBERS AND STEWARDS COMPENSATION. The Company will compensate a Committee Member, Xxxxxxx or other Union Official for time spent out of his/ her regular duties in Grievance Meetings (including the Union briefing session at Stage 2 only) as defined in the Grievance Procedure and Labour Management Meetings from the time the employee leaves his/ her work station to their return. Such payment will be at the rate which he/ she was receiving immediately prior to the absence, plus shift differential, if applicable. The Company will also compensate a Committee Member, Xxxxxxx or other Union Official for time spent out of his/ her regular duties for grievance investigation based on the following schedule: MAXIMUM HOURS OFFICIAL PAID PER WEEK Stewards 2 Plant Chairperson 6 Vice President 4 Recording Secretary 2 All Union business time must be recorded on a Union Business Time Card. When the Union official is granted permission to leave his/ her work assignment the time must be recorded on this Card and initialed by the Supervisor. The general reason for leaving must also be noted. Upon the return of the union official, the time must also be recorded and initialed by the Supervisor, Union business time spent in excess of the above-stated limits will be billed to the Local Union as outlined below. No Union business time will be paid under Article 5 unless this procedure is followed.

  • Union Officers and Committee Members Union Officers and Committee Members shall be entitled to leave their work during working hours in order to carry out their functions under this Agreement, including, but not limited to, the investigation and processing of grievances, attendance at meetings with the Employer, participation in negotiations and arbitration. Permission to leave work during working hours for such purposes shall first be obtained from the immediate supervisor. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. All time spent in performing such Union duties, including work performed on various committees, as referred to in this Agreement, shall be considered as time worked.

  • Union Officers Employees hereafter elected or appointed to full­ time Union office shall be granted a leave of absence without loss of sen­ iority but without accumulating seniority during the period of the leave of absence.

  • UNION COMMITTEE AND STEWARDS 6.01 No individual employee or group of employees shall undertake to represent the Union at meetings with the Corporation without proper authorization of the Union. In order that this may be carried out, the Corporation will recognize:

  • Union Grievance Committee (a) The Employer shall recognize a Union Grievance Committee which consists of:

  • Senior Management and Board of Directors 1. A Member State shall not require that a juridical person of that Member State appoint to senior management positions, natural persons of any particular nationality.

  • Compensation Committee (A) The Compensation Committee shall be composed of not more than five (5) members who shall be selected by the Board of Directors from its own members who are not officers of the Company and who shall hold office during the pleasure of the Board.

  • Recognition of Union Stewards and Grievance Committee In order to provide an orderly and speedy procedure for the settling of grievances, the Employer acknowledges the rights and duties of the Union Stewards. The Xxxxxxx shall assist any Employee, which the Xxxxxxx represents, in preparing and presenting her grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure.

  • Nurse Representatives & Grievance Committee (a) The Hospital agrees to recognize Association representatives to be elected or appointed from amongst nurses in the bargaining unit for the purpose of dealing with Association business as provided in this Collective Agreement. The number of representatives and the areas which they represent are set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions.

  • Joint Labor/Management Committees Purpose and Membership. Joint Labor/Management Committees are established to provide a forum for communications and problem-solving between the two parties and to deal with matters of a general personnel Union/Employer concern, as well as professional practices within the hospital related to patient care and professional issues. The Committees will work toward the improvement of patient care and recommend ways and means to improve patient care; and will address problems and concerns related to staffing and workloads. The Committees’ function will be limited to an advisory capacity and shall not include any decision making or collective bargaining authority. Committee memberships:
