Unused Sick Leave at Retirement. A member of the bargaining unit who gives notice of intent to retire three (3) months in advance of retirement, shall receive, upon retirement, one (1) day’s pay for each three (3) days of accumulated sick leave, up to a maximum of ninety (90) days. The District shall make any payment due hereunder as a non-elective employer contribution to a 403(b) program that confirms it can accept the contribution in accordance with applicable internal Revenue Code rules and regulations. Such payment shall be made to the 403(b) program within 30 days following retirement Members who notify the District of their intent to retire by December 3, 2012 for retirement to be effective no later than June 30, 2013 shall be entitled to payment of unused sick leave at the rate of two (2) days’ pay for each three (3) accumulated sick days to a maximum of 180 days.

In the event of the death of an active employee who otherwise would be eligible under this provision, a lump sum payout will be paid to the employee’s estate. The amount attributable to unused sick leave in accordance with the above provisions shall be deposited on a pre-tax basis at the time of the employee’s retirement in the employee’s VEBA Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) for use by the employee for purposes specified in the Village’s VEBA HRA plan document, including but not necessarily limited to payment for continued coverage under the Village’s group hospitalization and medical insurance program and for unreimbursed medical expenses approved by the VEBA HRA. The VEBA HRA plan document provides that if there is any amount remaining in an employee’s account at the time of death, the remaining amount will be disbursed as provided by the plan document.

The Board shall pay a retiring employee at the employee's daily rate, to a maximum payment of $13,750 in 2007-08, $14,250 in 2008-09, and $14,750 in 2009-10, for one- half (1/2) of the employee’s total unused sick leave accrued in the Xxxxxxxx Township School District. Such unused sick leave must have been accumulated while working for the school district. A retiring employee shall be defined as a person who has applied for and is receiving pension benefits from PERS/TPAF. The foregoing benefit shall be paid to the estate of any employee who deceases while employed by the Board. 2. The Board shall pay a resigning employee, who has at least fifteen (15) years of service in the Xxxxxxxx Township School District, and who takes a deferred retirement under PERS/TPAF, at the employee’s daily rate for one-half (1/2) of the employee’s total unused sick leave accrued in the Xxxxxxxx Township School District. Payment shall be capped at one-half of the maximum payment set forth in paragraph A.1. (e.g., $6,500 for 2006-07). Such unused sick leave must have been accumulated while working for the school district. Any person who receives a payment under this paragraph and later returns to the New Jersey pension system shall immediately reimburse the District for the payment received.

Any individual who has, at retirement, a minimum of twenty-four years of service in the Keshequa Central School District and who has accumulated more than One Hundred and Fifty (150) days in their Individual Sick Leave Emergency Reserve will receive $50 for each day over 150.

  • Vacation Leave on Retirement ‌ An employee scheduled to retire and to receive pension benefits under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service.

  • Sick Leave Credit-Based Retirement Gratuities 1) A Teacher is not eligible to receive a sick leave credit gratuity after August 31, 2012, except a sick leave credit gratuity that the Teacher had accumulated and was eligible to receive as of that day. 2) If the Teacher is eligible to receive a sick leave credit gratuity, upon the Teacher’s retirement, the gratuity shall be paid out at the lesser of, a) the rate of pay specified by the board’s system of sick leave credit gratuities that applied to the Teacher on August 31, 2012; and b) the Teacher’s salary as of August 31, 2012. 3) If a sick leave credit gratuity is payable upon the death of a Teacher, the gratuity shall be paid out in accordance with subsection (2). 4) For greater clarity, all eligibility requirements must have been met as of August 31, 2012 to be eligible for the aforementioned payment upon retirement, and the Employer and Union agree that any and all wind-up payments to which Teachers without the necessary years of service were entitled to under Ontario Regulation 01/13: Sick Leave Credits and Sick Leave Credit Gratuities, have been paid. 5) For the purposes of the following boards, despite anything in the board’s system of sick leave credit gratuities, it is a condition of eligibility to receive a sick leave credit gratuity that the Teacher have ten (10) years of service with the board: i. Near North District School Board ii. Avon Maitland District School Board iii. Xxxxxxxx-Xxxxxxxxx District School Board

  • Sick Leave Payout No cash payment for unused sick leave will be paid to any employee leaving the service of the Employer.
