Individual Sick Leave. Teachers shall be entitled to paid leave for absences due to personal illness or physical disability, including disabilities connected with or resulting from pregnancy, at the rate of fifteen (15) days per school year.

Employees must work more than half of his/her regularly scheduled days during the month to earn sick time allocations. a. The employee may request a further extension of sick day use from the Board, or may choose to go on an unpaid leave at any time, not to exceed the balance of that semester plus one additional semester. The Board will continue to pay fringe benefits for the duration of the leave. c. Employees using sick leave must call an assigned telephone number at least one (1) hour before their regular shift starts. Article XIII shall control for Transportation workers. Failure to give such notification will result in loss of pay for the day. Further failure to call will result in written reprimand and would be justified reason for termination of employment.

Individual Sick Leave. A full-time staff member under contract for the regular School year shall be entitled to paid leave for absences due to personal illness and/or disability, including disabilities connected with or resulting from, pregnancy. Such staff members shall be allowed a maximum of 18 days sick leave during each School year, cumulative to a maximum of 90 days, including the sick leave days allowed for the current School year at the time of consideration. Those staff members who have accumulated more than 90 days prior to 1996-97 School year remain entitled to those days, but once those days over 90 are used, members may not accumulate more than 90 days. Sick leave for the part-time staff members will be pro-rated.
Individual Sick Leave. Each full time teacher shall be entitled to be absent from work on account of personal illness injury, health related appointments/procedures or quarantine for a total of ten (10) days the first year of employment and ten (10) days in each succeeding year without loss of compensation. If in any one school year the teacher shall be absent for such illness or quarantine less than the prescribed number of days, the remaining days shall accumulate. A teacher employed under regular contract for only a portion of the school year shall be entitled to a proportionate number of days of sick leave, and unused days will be accumulative as specified herein. During the regular school year, accumulated sick leave may be used for personal illness, injury or quarantine. In the event any teacher shall have accumulated one (1) or more days of sick leave in another school corporation of this state and shall thereafter become employed in the Delphi Community School Corporation, then there shall be added for the second and each succeeding year of such employment up to six (6) days of sick leave until the number of accumulated days to which said teacher was entitled in the last place of employment shall be exhausted.

  • Personal Sick Leave The following provisions will apply to all employees (other than casual employees) covered by this Agreement.

  • Cumulative Sick Leave The normal cumulative sick leave allowance each year shall be ten (10) days for employees on thirty-eight (38) through forty-two (42) week assignments. Teachers on eleven (11) and twelve (12) month assignments shall receive one (1) day per month up to a maximum of twelve (12) days each year. A teacher shall be permitted to carry forward the unused portion of sick leave without limit. The balance of accumulated sick leave shall be printed on the teacher's bi-weekly statement of earnings.

  • Paid Sick Leave For those jurisdictions that have passed or will pass legislation requiring Paid Sick Leave, Paid Sick Time will be billed back to Client at the straight-time bill rate for all hours taken by any Consultant assigned to Client. This section is not applicable until the effective date of such legislation has been reached.

  • Accrued 100% sick leave The use of sick leave under this subsection is at the employee's discretion.
