VACATION AND HOLIDAY ALLOWANCE. 17.01 A vacation and holiday allowance shall be paid to each employee in lieu of paid vacation and holidays. 17.02 Payment of the allowance shall be calculated and paid weekly as eight percent (8%) of gross earnings during the pay period. 17.03 If an employee elects to take an annual vacation, the employer and employee shall mutually agree on the time of such annual vacation. An employee must give reasonable notice to the employer when requesting vacation time. One (1) month’s notice is required when requesting vacation of five (5) or more consecutive regular working days.

VACATION AND HOLIDAY ALLOWANCE. 13.01 A vacation and holiday allowance shall be paid to each xxxxxxx in lieu of paid vacation and holidays. Payment of such vacation and holiday allowance shall be paid at the rate of nine percent (9%) of the total base rate earnings and paid weekly or as mutually agreed. 13.02 The employer and employees shall mutually agree on the time that the employees shall take the annual vacation.
VACATION AND HOLIDAY ALLOWANCE. Every secretarial employee shall be entitled to one day of paid vacation for each month of employment under his/her agreement term (10 work days for 10-month employees, 11 work days for 11-month employees; 12 work days for 12-month employees), in addition to 10 paid holidays recognized by the Board of Education for 10-month employees, 11 paid holidays recognized by the Board of Education for 11-month employees; and 12 paid holidays recognized by the Board of Education for 12-month employees within the contract period. These holidays would remain constant: Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Day and the day before, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, and Independence Day. Any legal holiday falling on a weekend shall be granted on the Friday before the holiday or the Monday after the holiday. The precise dates are to be established when the school calendar is approved by the Board of Education. Vacation schedules are to be established in advance and approved by the immediate supervisor and the Superintendent. Unused vacation time may be applied up to December 31st of that calendar year. Reimbursement will be made for unused vacation time during the fiscal year. Vacation time is non- cumulative. During the fifth year of continuous, unbroken service to the District, and thereafter, persons with 10- month contracts shall be entitled to fifteen (15) days of vacation per year, persons with 11-month contracts shall be entitled to sixteen (16) days of vacation per year, and persons with 12-month contracts shall be entitled to seventeen (17) days of vacation per year. During the eighth year of continuous, unbroken service to the District, and thereafter, persons with 10 month contracts shall be entitled to nineteen (19) days of vacation per year, persons with 11 month contracts shall be entitled to twenty-one (21) days of vacation per year, and persons with 12- month contracts shall be entitled to twenty-three (23) days of vacation per year. Vacation schedules are to be established in advance and approved by the immediate supervisor and the Superintendent. Employees who leave the School District prior to completion of their annual contract and who have expended more of their vacation allowance than they have earned through employment within their contracted year shall have the unearned expended vacation days deducted from their last salary payment.

  • Vacation and Holidays Executive will receive four weeks of paid vacation each year in addition to all holidays observed by the Company and its subsidiaries. Executive may carry over, in the aggregate, up to four weeks of unused vacation to a subsequent year. Any unused vacation time in excess of four weeks will not accumulate or carry over from one calendar year to the next. Each calendar year, Executive shall take not less than one (1) week vacation.

  • Vacation, Sick Leave and Holidays Executive shall be entitled to four (4) weeks (28 business days) of vacation, and also sick leave and holidays at full pay in accordance with the Company’s policies established and in effect from time to time.

  • Vacations and Holidays The Executive will be entitled to four weeks paid vacation each Fiscal Year in accordance with the vacation policies of the Employer in effect for its executive officers from time to time. Vacation must be taken by the Executive at such time or times as approved by the Chairman of the Board or Chief Executive Officer. The Executive will also be entitled to the paid holidays set forth in the Employer's policies.   • Vacation Allowance Employees in permanent positions are entitled to vacation with pay. Accrual is based upon straight time hours of working time per calendar month of service and begins on the date of appointment to a permanent position. Increased accruals begin on the first of the month following the month in which the employee qualifies. Accrual for portions of a month shall be in minimum amounts of one (1) hour calculated on the same basis as for partial month compensation pursuant to Section 5.6 of this MOU. Vacation credits may be taken in one (1) minute increments but may not be taken during the first six (6) months of employment (not necessarily synonymous with probationary status) except where sick leave has been exhausted; and none shall be allowed in excess of actual accrual at the time vacation is taken.

  • Vacation and Sick Leave During the Term, Executive shall be entitled to (a) sick leave in accordance with the Company’s policies applicable to similarly situated executive officers of the Company from time to time and (b) 4 weeks paid vacation each calendar year (up to 40 hours of which may be carried forward to a succeeding year).

  • Vacation Benefits During the Term, the Executive shall be eligible for 20 vacation days annually, which shall be accrued and used in accordance with the applicable policies of the Company. During the Term, the Executive shall be eligible to participate in such medical, dental and life insurance, retirement and other plans as the Company may have or establish from time to time on terms and conditions applicable to other senior executives of the Company generally. The foregoing, however, shall not be construed to require the Company to establish any such plans or to prevent the modification or termination of such plans once established.

  • Vacation Bonus Employees shall receive one day's base pay (or adjusted earnings) for each year of service beyond twenty-five (25) years, to a maximum of ten (10) days’ pay.

  • OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY PAY 5.3.1 All hours worked by an employee in excess of eight (8) hours per shift and in excess of forty (40) straight time hours per week shall be paid for at the rate of one and one-half times the straight time rate. All hours worked by an employee in excess of ten (10) hours per shift and all hours worked on Sunday shall be paid at the rate of double the straight time rate. 5.3.2 Additional holidays recognized in the Construction Industry in each geographical area will be observed on all work covered by this Appendix.

  • VACATION AND VACATION PAY 9.01 All employees who are covered under this Agreement shall receive as vacation pay ten percent (10%) of the employee's total earnings exclusive of each Employer's contribution to the Union's Benefit Plan. Income tax shall be deducted weekly from the employee's earnings increased by the amount of vacation pay. 9.02 Vacation periods shall be arranged by mutual agreement between each Employer and each employee. Employees shall be granted their vacation periods as requested insofar as it is practicable and in accordance with years of employment, unless an Employer decides to grant all vacations at one time, in which case that Employer shall give the employees at least six (6) weeks advance notice. 9.03 Each Employer agrees to remit the Vacation Pay of each employee as agreed upon in Article 9.01 of this Agreement and in accordance with the regulation set by the Employment Standards Branch, Ministry of Labour, monthly before, but not later than the fifteenth of the following month to the Union using a separate cheque marked "Vacation Pay", accompanied by a list on which all deductions and contributions as mentioned in Articles 6.01, 12.02, 17.01, 18.01 and Schedule "A" are recorded. 9.04 In accordance with the agreement with the Employment Standards Branch, Ministry of Labour, the Board of Trustees of the Union's Vacation Pay Trust Fund, is obligated to take any steps which may be available to them either in law or in equity or in bankruptcy as may be necessary or desirable to effect collection from delinquent Employers. All costs incurred in the collection of said payment will be charged to such defaulting Employer. 9.05 Each Employer agrees to give the auditor of the Union's Trust Fund the privilege to examine that Employer's records concerning hours and monies forwarded to the Union, if and when the auditor so desires. Any date for such an examination will be pre-arranged in writing between the auditor, that Employer and the Union.

  • Vacation Leave on Retirement ‌ An employee scheduled to retire and to receive pension benefits under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service.
