Vacation Credit Pay. All bargaining unit employees shall be entitled to elect to receive compensation for vacation time that will be earned in the subsequent year in accordance with the terms of this paragraph. Vacation Credit Pay. All bargaining unit employees shall be entitled to elect to receive compensation for vacation time that will be earned in the subsequent year in accordance with the terms of this paragraph. Not less than thirty (30) days prior to the beginning of the payroll year during which the vacation subject to such election is accrued (hereafter the “Accrual Year”), employees may seek payment for up to forty (40) hours of accrued vacation time that will be accrued during the Accrual Year. Such election, once made, shall be irrevocable. Thus the hours elected for compensation shall not be eligible for use as vacation. Payment to the employee who has elected to receive payment shall be based on the employee’s regular base rate of pay in effect on December 31 of the Accrual Year. The vacation credit pay shall be paid to the employee within ninety (90) days after the Accrual Year. Employees, at their sole option, may authorize and direct the Employer to deposit vacation credit pay to a deferred compensation plan administered by the Employer provided such option is exercised in a manner consistent with the provisions governing regular changes in deferred compensation payroll deductions.

  • Vacation Credits All employees shall participate in the County’s Terminal Pay Plan (Plan). However, only the terminal paychecks (including unused vacation) of those employees who have reached the age of fifty-five (55) shall be placed into the Plan. These terminal paychecks shall be placed into the Plan on a pre-tax basis in accordance with the Plan, all applicable laws and all rules and regulations applicable to the Plan.

  • Borrowing of Unearned Vacation Credits With the approval of the Employer, an Employee who has been employed for a period of five (5) or more years may be granted five (5) days from the vacation leave of the next subsequent year.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Sick Leave Benefit There are two types of sick leave benefits. Annual sick leave is the sick leave days credited each year to each employee in accordance with the provisions of the local collective bargaining agreements. Banked sick leave is previously accumulated unused sick leave to which unused annual sick leave may be added at the end of each anniversary year.

  • Accrual Rate of Sick Leave With Pay Credits Full-time employees shall accrue eight (8) hours of sick leave with pay credits for each full month worked. Employees who work less than the full month but at least thirty-two (32) hours during the month shall accrue sick leave with pay on a pro rata basis for the month.

  • Vacation Accrual Regular employees shall accrue hours of vacation with pay for each hour of compensation to a maximum of eighty (80) hours per biweekly work period according to the following schedule, commencing with the employee's hire date of his latest period of County employment.

  • Vacation Leave Credits ‌ Full-time and part-time employees will be credited with vacation leave accrued monthly, according to the rate schedule and vacation leave accrual below.
