VACATION SHUT-DOWN. The Company reserves the right to shut down a part or all of an operation, for a part or all of a scheduled vacation, during the period of July 1st to August 31st. The date of the shut-down period will be announced by April 1st.

VACATION SHUT-DOWN. The Plant will close for vacation purposes during the two calendar weeks preceding Civic Holiday. During this period, the Company may operate the plant if staffing can be achieved on a voluntary basis. Posting of jobs for work requirements during the vacation shut down shall be done by May 1st and the selection of personnel shall be finalized by May 15th on the basis of ability and seniority. All employees not required to work during the shut down will be required to take two weeks of their vacation during the shut down. Maintenance employees will be required to work during the shut down and during the week of start up.
VACATION SHUT-DOWN. The Employer may schedule a summer vacation shut down period during the term of the contract. The Employer shall attempt to notify the effected employees by May 1 of the dates the shutdown will occur.
VACATION SHUT-DOWN. As agreed at out recent negotiations, upon ratification of the Company’s final offer on June we will adopt the fol- lowing policy. The Company and Union each withdraw its respective pro- posals for Articles and It is agreed that the parties undertake as a joint objective, the develop- ment of a plan to achieve maximum plant production capac- ity as required. The plan will consider work and vacation scheduling, skills development (cross training), staffing lev- els and other pertinent factors. The parties may implement such plans as can be mutually agreed upon.
VACATION SHUT-DOWN. If a vacation shutdown is instituted, it shall be taken in July or August.

  • Vacation Buy Back Employees shall have the option of requesting pay in lieu of time off up to a maximum of 144 hours of vacation time each year, during each year of the contract in increments of eight (8) hrs. Such requests are subject to the approval of the department head and the availability of funds.

  • Vacation During the Employment Period, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation in accordance with the most favorable plans, policies, programs and practices of the Company and its affiliated companies as in effect for the Executive at any time during the 120-day period immediately preceding the Effective Date or, if more favorable to the Executive, as in effect generally at any time thereafter with respect to other peer executives of the Company and its affiliated companies.

  • Vacation and Sick Leave At such reasonable times as the Board of Directors shall in its discretion permit, the Employee shall be entitled, without loss of pay, to absent himself voluntarily from the performance of his employment under this Agreement, with all such voluntary absences to count as vacation time; provided that:

  • Vacation Period ‌ The choice of vacation periods shall be granted to employees on the basis of seniority with the Employer except where the period requested would be detrimental to the operation of the Employer.

  • Sick Leave Use Sick leave will be charged in one-tenth (1/10th) of an hour increments and may be used for the following reasons:
