Weekly Hire all Employees, except Casuals Weekly hire shall be in accordance with clause 9.3 of the Award. During periods of prolonged absences by weekly hire employees (e.g. long service leave or injury); the company may elect to cover the period of absence by offering permanent employment for a specified time to cover the duration of the absence. This arrangement shall be in accordance with clause 9.4 of the award
Weekly Hire. All Employees, except Casuals If the Employer decides to terminate the employment of a weekly Employee the Employer shall give the weekly Employee the following notice: Period of Continuous Service Period of Notice One year or less One week Over one year & up to the completion of three years Two weeks Over three years & up to the completion of five years Three weeks Over five years Four weeks In addition to the above notice, employees over 45 years of age with not less than two years continuous service shall be entitled to an additional week’s notice. Notice of resignation by the weekly Employee - The notice given by a weekly Employee shall be the same as that required of the Employer except that there shall be no additional notice based on the age of the weekly Employee concerned.

Weekly Hire. 16.1.1.1. Day Work Day workers will be paid the following annualised salary based on an average of 35 hours per week worked on a 9-day fortnight basis (7 hours and 47 minutes per day), plus an allowance for overtime of up to 5 hours per week. Day workers will be rostered and paid in accordance with the following arrangements that equate to the annualised salaries as listed. Hours of work shall be 7 hours and 47 min per day that will mean an employee has 1 day per fortnight rostered off Monday to Friday. Weekly Hire. The Company’s employees will be employed on the basis of weekly hire. For the purpose of this clause, weekly hire will require the Company to give one weeks notice in cases of termination, except for serious and wilful misconduct or one weeks pay in lieu of notice. However, the daily hire provisions relating to inclement weather, casual employment and follow the job loading, are preserved in this agreement as if the employees were daily hire employees. Similarly, this agreement will require an employee to give a minimum of one weeks notice prior to resignation. A tradesperson shall be allowed one hour prior to termination to gather, clean, sharpen, pack and transport tools. Nothing in this clause shall affect the right of the employer to dismiss an employee without notice for misconduct or refusing duty.
