WELDING ALLOWANCE. An employee who is requested by the employer to hold the relevant qualifications for pressure oxy- acetylene or electric welding, either manual or machine welding, and is required by the enterprise to act on such qualifications, shall be paid an additional $1.00 per hour for the first certificate and an extra $0.30 for the second certificate.
WELDING ALLOWANCE. An Employee who is requested by the Employer to weld pipes whether that being by Oxygen/Acetylene, Arc, MIG, TIG or plastic welding will be paid an additional amount per hour for each type of welding whether or not they have in any hour actually performed welding provided that no employee shall be entitled to be paid for more than 2 types of welding. However, this allowance shall not apply for all plumbing work with respect to the joining together of plastic, PVC and/or polythenol materials eg HOPE and MOPE. The rates will be as follows:
WELDING ALLOWANCE. An employee who is requested by the employer to hold the relevant qualifications required by the various State Government bodies or other relevant Authorities for pressure oxy-acetylene or electric welding, either manual or machine welding, and is required by their employer to act on such qualifications, shall be paid the amount payable in Clause A2 – Allowance table for electric welding for every hour of their employment whether or not they have in any hour performed work relevant to those qualifications held. The allowance is capped at $2.00 per hour for multiple qualifications that are used.
WELDING ALLOWANCE.
(1) When employed by the Company to carry out the full range of duties involved in welding work as specified hereunder, a welder special class shall in consideration for the work they are required to carry out on site, be paid the applicable weekly all-purpose allowance specified hereunder in addition to the wage to which they are otherwise entitled under their contract of employment. These allowances shall only apply from the time the Employee concerned has commenced work on the Site and has passed the tests required and qualified at the levels set out below. These allowances shall not apply to Employees engaged on tack welding and are not cumulative. Only the highest allowance that each Employee has been tested to and assessed as competent shall apply.
(a) If engaged on arc welding of structural steel to AS1554SP - Welding of Steel Structures (or similar standard). $29.72 $30.47 $31.23 $32.01 $32.81

(i) Stainless steel (304, 310,316 and 904 grade); and
(ii) Chrome molybdenum.

WELDING ALLOWANCE. Welders qualified and required to carry out coded welding work in accordance with AS1554 or similar standard shall be paid an all purpose allowance of $1.18 per hour for arc welding on structural steel.
WELDING ALLOWANCE. An employee who is requested by the enterprise to hold the relevant qualifications for pressure oxy-acetylene or electric welding, either manual or machine welding, and is required by the enterprise to act on such qualifications, shall be paid the following amount: Prior to 1 March 2009 -$1.07 1st certificate, $0.32 for 2nd certificate From 1 March 2009 - $1.13 1st certificate, $0.34 for 2nd certificate From 1 March 2010 - $1.19 1st certificate, $0.36 for 2nd certificate From 1 March 2011 - $1.25 1st certificate, $0.38 for 2nd certificate
WELDING ALLOWANCE. $100.00 will be available annually (on a calendar year basis), towards the purchase of protective clothing. To qualify, an Employee must have been with the Company for at least six (6) months. Positions that qualify: Welders, Repair Bay Technicians, Special Projects Assistants and Manufacturing Technician. Receipts required.
WELDING ALLOWANCE. A Mechanical Tradesperson who has successfully completed the Project based testing for welding of pressure pipes or pressure vessels to ASME B-31-3orAS 1210 standard shall be paid an all purpose allowance of $1.50 per hour worker, the allowance quantum shall be fixed for the life of this Agreement.
WELDING ALLOWANCE. The following annual allowances shall apply to Welders Special Class who have passed the tests and qualified to the required levels. Only the highest allowance applicable to the work that the Employee has been tested on and assessed as competent to perform shall apply.
(1) A Welder Special Class who is engaged on welding alloy pipework to ASME B-31-3 standard or alloy pressure vessels and tanks to AS1210 consisting of the following materials: • stainless steel (304, 310, 316 and 904 grade); and • chrome molybdenum shall be paid an annual allowance of $1,800.
(2) A Welder Special Class who is engaged on welding any type of pipework to ASME B- 31-3 standard using FCAW or TGAX welding processes shall be paid an annual allowance of $6,000. The annual allowances will be averaged and paid weekly with Annual Base Salary.
WELDING ALLOWANCE. An employee who is requested by the employer to hold the relevant qualifications for pressure oxy-acetylene or electric welding, either manual or machine welding, and is required by the employer to act on such qualifications, shall be paid the amounts payable in Clause AD.28 – Payments.
