WorkSafeBC Benefits. (a) A Regular employee eligible for sick leave who is absent due to an accident or illness while at work for the District and which is compensable by the WorkSafeBC shall have their wages maintained by the District, but under no circumstances shall the employee be entitled to wages paid by the District and WSBC wage loss benefits for the same period (excluding any partial or permanent disability awards), and the employee shall cooperate with the District and WSBC to ensure that any such double recovery is rectified.
(b) If an employee is eligible for WorkSafeBC benefits but declines to apply or refuses WorkSafeBC benefits, then any sick leave shall be paid at 60%. If the employee receives a wage loss settlement from ICBC, the District of Kitimat shall be reimbursed.
WorkSafeBC Benefits. An employee on a claim recognized by WorkSafeBC will receive compensation in accordance with the provisions of Appendix #1 and, in addition, the Employer will maintain all health and welfare benefits, vacation credits, and the Employer's pension contributions during an absence on a WorkSafeBC claim.
WorkSafeBC Benefits. (a) A Regular employee eligible for sick leave who is absent due to an accident or illness while at work for the District and which is compensable by the WorkSafeBC shall receive the benefits of Article 22.02, but the employee shall turn over to the District all salary compensation received from the WorkSafeBC except any permanent partial or permanent full disability awards.
(b) If an employee is eligible for WorkSafeBC benefits but declines to apply or refuses WorkSafeBC benefits, then any sick leave shall be paid at 60%. If the employee receives a wage loss settlement from ICBC, the District of Kitimat shall be reimbursed.
WorkSafeBC Benefits a) Employees shall receive directly from WorkSafeBC any wage loss benefits to which they may be entitled.
b) While an employee is in receipt of WorkSafeBC wage loss benefits, paid holidays, and vacation will not accrue. However, unused vacation credits accrued in previous years shall not be lost as a result of this article. In addition, Articles 33 will continue to apply to employees who are entitled to receive WorkSafeBC wage loss benefits.

A permanent employee whose claim for WCB temporary disability benefits is accepted by the WCB, shall assign all monies received from WCB to the Employer and the Employer shall pay the employee’s approximate regular net pay calculated on his/her rate of pay as an advance against WorksafeBC disability benefits. If the WCB disallows the employee’s claim, or if the employee has not had his/her WCB claim accepted, the Employer will pay regular salary to the employee until the employee’s Sick Leave is exhausted. Thereafter the employees may choose to continue their regular salary by use of any other credits owing. Where a permanent employee becomes entitled to Workers’ Compensation and payment is not made for the first day or part day, such day or part day shall be paid by the Employer.
WorkSafeBC Benefits. (a) Injury-on-duty leave with pay shall be granted for the one (1) day or less not covered by the Workers
WorkSafeBC Benefits. A permanent employee whose claim for WorksafeBC temporary disability benefits is accepted by the WorksafeBC, shall assign all monies received from WorksafeBC to The University and the University shall pay the employee’s approximate regular net pay calculated on their rate of pay as an advance against WorksafeBC disability benefits. If the WorksafeBC disallows the employee’s claim, or if the employee has not had their WorksafeBC claim accepted, the University will pay regular salary to the employee until the employee’s Sick Leave is exhausted. Thereafter the employees may choose to continue their regular salary by use of any other credits owing. Where a permanent employee becomes entitled to Workers’ Compensation and payment is not made for the first day or part day, such day or part day shall be paid by the University.
WorkSafeBC Benefits. (a) Any permanent employee, on completion of the necessary assignment to the Company of their WorkSafeBC payments for loss of wages, will be carried on the payroll of the Company at one hundred percent (100%) of their regular wages until WorkSafeBC certifies that they are able to return to work or until granted a permanent pension by WorkSafeBC for either partial or total disability, whichever may be the sooner. The parties mutually agree that no employee shall be paid more than their regular earnings when they are unable to work and are receiving WorkSafeBC Benefits.
(b) An employee injured at work and unable to continue shall be paid his regular rate of pay for the entire shift.
WorkSafeBC Benefits. (a) Employees shall receive directly from the WorkSafeBC any wage loss benefits to which they may be entitled.
(b) While an employee is in receipt of WorkSafeBC wage loss benefits, paid holidays, and vacation will not accrue. However unused vacation credits accrued in previous years shall not be lost as a result of this article. In addition, the Health Care Plan will continue to apply to employees who are entitled to receive WorkSafeBC wage loss benefits.
(c) The provisions of (b) shall also continue to apply to employees who are receiving WorkSafeBC benefits other than wage-loss benefits pursuant to Sections 29 or 30 (temporary benefits and/or partial temporary benefits) of the Workers’ Compensation Act, so long as the employee is otherwise entitled to benefits under those Sections of the Workers’ Compensation Act.
(d) Employees qualifying for WorkSafeBC coverage shall be continued on the payroll and shall not have their employment terminated during the compensable period. Such employees shall be considered as being on an unpaid leave except that seniority shall continue to accrue based on regular hours.
