Membership and Dues. 4.10 Membership Employees are not required to join the Association as a condition of employment. However, whether or not Employees are members of the Association they shall, as a condition of employment, pay the equivalent of union dues to the Association.

Upon the receipt of a written authorization from an employee, and to the extent permitted by law, the employer shall deduct from the employee’s wages an amount equal to monthly union membership dues which shall be deducted in a fixed amount each pay period, regardless of the employee’s membership status, and remitted to the Union. Once authorized, payroll check-off shall be irrevocable for a period of one year and automatically renewed each year thereafter, except that authorization may be withdrawn by sending of a written notice to the Union and the Employer by first class or registered mail during the period of fifteen (15) days immediately prior to the succeeding the annual anniversary date of the contract (June 15 through June 30).
Membership and Dues. The District shall pay membership fees for the Superintendent the following professional organization: The Association of California School Administrators (ACSA). The District shall also pay membership fees for the Superintendent in community organizations that shall include, but not be limited to, annual membership fees and expenses for the Xxxxxx Service Organization and such other memberships as may be approved by the Board.

The Board will likewise pay for any such costs which are otherwise charged against the Board furnished credit card, including those for subscriptions to appropriate publications helpful to the Superintendent in the carrying out of his duties, if not otherwise submitted by the Superintendent to the finance officer for payment.
