Absence for Jury Duty and Court Witnesses. 1. Bargaining unit members may be absent from duty for jury duty without loss of pay. Bargaining unit members must may be asked to present proof of jury duty service to Human Resources such as the Jury clerk slip or summons; otherwise, the absence will be recorded as personal necessity. If a unit member has exhausted personal necessity leave, the unit member will receive unpaid leave for lack of official jury duty documentation.
