ACCRUED DAY OFF (ADO). All full time Employees, other than those classified on Band 7, will accrue one (1) paid 7.6 hour day off, to be known as an accrued day off (ADO), every four (4) week cycle by working a 40 hour week (instead of the ordinary 38 hours per week).
ACCRUED DAY OFF (ADO). (a) All full-time employees are entitled to apply for a work arrangement in accordance with subclause 15(b) below, which provides for an ADO. The Employer will consider such applications and will not unreasonably refuse an application.
(b) An ADO arises from a system of work in which full time employees work an additional two (2) hours per week, to facilitate one (1) ADO after every four (4) weeks of service.
(c) An ADO may be implemented via an employee working no more than 19 days in a four-week period of 152 hours.
(d) The maximum ADOs will be 13 in any calendar year.
(e) Accrued days off are to be taken as single days on a rostered basis (i.e. one (1) ADO in each 28 day cycle) or as agreed between the Employer and employee.
(f) Where a public holiday falls on a day upon which the employee is on an ADO, another day will be determined by the Employer to be taken by the employee in lieu of the public holiday, such day to be within the same work cycle where practical.
(g) Upon termination of employment if the employee has:
(i) taken an ADO (in part or whole) in advance of accruing the necessary hours, the salary of the employee paid on termination will be reduced by the total ADOs or portion taken in advance; or
(ii) untaken ADOs (in part or whole) at the time of termination, the employee will be paid the untaken ADOs.
ACCRUED DAY OFF (ADO). An ADO system of work may be implemented via a full-time employee working no more than 19 days in a four week period of 152 hours. Where an ADO system is implemented:
(a) Xxxxxxxxxx Heart Clinic is to decide when employees take their ADO’s. Where necessary Xxxxxxxxxx Heart Clinic must consult with the affected employees to ascertain the employees’ preferences and must take any such preferences into account when arriving at a decision;
(b) Where practicable, ADO’s shall be consecutive with RDO’s;
(c) Once set, the ADO’s may not be changed except in accordance with the provisions of Clause 10, Rosters;
(d) With the consent of Xxxxxxxxxx Heart Clinic, ADOs may be accumulated up to a maximum of six in any one year. By mutual agreement this may be extended to no more than 12 days at any one time. Where the employee wants to accumulate more than 6 ADO’s the employee must apply and Xxxxxxxxxx Heart Clinic will not unreasonably decline the request. Where ADO’s are accumulated, they may be taken in conjunction with the employee’s annual leave, or as otherwise agreed;
(e) An employee will be paid for any accumulated ADOs, at ordinary rates, on the termination of their employment for any reason.
(f) Credit of time towards an ADO shall not accrue when an employee is absent in accordance with subclause 23.2. Employees entitled to an ADO shall accrue credit towards an ADO in respect of each day those employees are absent on days which have been added to be taken in conjunction with annual leave in accordance with the election provisions of clause 24 - Public Holidays.
ACCRUED DAY OFF (ADO). At the discretion of the General Manager, based on organisational requirements, a system of accrued days off may be introduced, subject to the following provisions:
ACCRUED DAY OFF (ADO). Employees may, by agreement, accumulate Accrued Days Off (ADO). Those who elect to do so will be required to work for forty hours per week. When working a forty hour week two hours will be banked towards an ADO, i.e. you will be paid for thirty- eight hours only. Where the arrangement of ordinary hours of work provides for an ADO, the Employer and the employee concerned may agree to accrue up to a maximum of ten ADOs. Where such agreement has been reached, the ADOs shall be taken within twelve calendar months on which the first ADO was approved. Consent to accrue days off shall not be unreasonably withheld by either party. Where an employee leaves the company they shall be paid out their accumulated ADOs at the ordinary rate of pay. ADOs may only be taken at a time that suits the operational requirements of the business, subject to the approval of the Employer.
