ACCUMULATION OF PTO. 1. PTO accrual begins on the first day of employment and accrues during all hours worked, including hours worked when called- in to work while in “on-call” status, and PTO/ESL, holidays worked, jury duty, and bereavement leave with a cap of eighty (80) hours within the designated two (2) week pay period. 2. PTO does not accrue for On-call, SDI benefits, Workers Compensation benefits, unpaid leave of absences, and PTO paid as a lump sum. 3. PTO may be used as accrued but may not be used in advance (i.e. prior to accrual).
ACCUMULATION OF PTO. 16.1(a) Employees, on the active payroll shall earn paid time off in accordance with the accrual schedule below: Employment Time Annual Days of PTO Accrual per Pay Period Annual Hours of PTO 16.1(b) An employee who cycles on his paid time eligibility date with unused PTO available will continue to accumulate such credits from year to year to a maximum of two-hundred forty (240) total hours. Employees who are terminated for cause, voluntary termination, or should AOCE lose the contract to a successor will be paid out at the employee’s base rate for all the PTO in their bank at the time of termination. 16.1(c) PTO will not be accrued during period on layoff, strike, or after the first thirty calendar days of a leave of absence.

An employee who has acquired the maximum allowable accumulation of earned leave may continue to accumulate earned leave for the balance of the year in which the maximum accrual was reached, provided, however, that the employee must reduce the accumulation to the maximum allowable prior to the following March 31 or forfeit the excess.
