Adoptive Parental Leave. (a) An Employee who has completed twelve (12) months continuous employment shall be granted leave of absence without pay and benefits for a period of up to twelve (12) months in duration for the purpose of adopting a child provided that:

Adoptive Parental Leave. An employee who adopts a child under the age of 7 is paid wages or salary for working days that fall a period of one month from the start date of parental leave under Chapter 4, Section 1 of the Employment Contracts Act.

Adoptive leave cannot be taken in conjunction with teaching summer school or intersession.

  • Maternity/Parental Leave The term of the temporary posting shall be for the term of the illness or maternity/parental leave but shall not exceed eighteen (18) continuous months.

  • Parental Leave of Absence A. A female unit member must use any or all accumulated leave during pre- and post-natal care for that period of time she is temporarily disabled, as determined by the unit member and her physician in accordance with the Family Medical Leave policy.
