After School Club. A register of bookings is given to the Childcare Co-ordinator via a member of the school office for the beginning of each week. The staff in the school office adds on additional bookings and amends the club register, with any children that are absent from school each day. The club register is sent to classrooms so that teachers know which children need to be taken to the After School Club. Teachers ensure that at 3.05 pm, before the children leave the class, the After School Club children are identified and remain seated until after the other children leave. These children are then taken to the outside classroom, with inhalers if appropriate, where the After School Childcare is based. Children who attend other after school activities will be collected at the end of that club and taken to the After-School Childcare (with inhalers if appropriate).
After School Club. Children can be collected at any time between the start of each session and before the club closes at 6.00 pm by parents/carers. • The Club Co-ordinator must be notified of any parent/carer or any other individual who is responsible for collecting a child. If a child is being collected by someone other than the usual person, a password must be arranged between the parent/carer, the Club Co-ordinator and the school office. • On collection, the person collecting the child will be asked to sign and record the time. Should a password be required, this must be given to the Club-Co-ordinator on the door before they handover the child. • As we are accepting an additional duty of care for children beyond the school day, we are not comfortable about releasing children into empty and dark streets at 6.00 pm and so one of the After School Club conditions is that children cannot leave without an adult, even if this were to be with their parents/carers permission. • Late pick-up Procedure - In the event of a child not being collected by 6.10 pm, the following steps will occur:
