Application of Rates. Employees occupying a position in the City service shall be paid at the rate established for their position. All original appointments shall be made at the minimum wage for the position, except when in the opinion of the City Manager circumstances warrant appointment at a higher step.
Application of Rates a) The starting rate shall apply commencing on the date an employee is assigned to such grade and continue for a period of six (6) months.
b) Six (6) months following the hiring date, the first progressional rate shall apply for a further six (6) months.
c) At the beginning of the pay period following completion of the first progression, the second progressional rate shall apply for a further six (6) months.
d) At the beginning of the pay period following completion of the second progression, the employee shall move to the standard rate.
e) Provided, however, that in each case above the progressional increase may be deferred by the length of absence if the employee is absent for reasons other than:
1. Paid illness or accident of up to four (4) weeks;
2. Paid vacations;
3. Paid holidays, or;
4. Paid leave of absence, as provided elsewhere in this Agreement.
Application of Rates. Employees occupying a position in the competitive service shall be paid a salary or wage within the range established for that position's class as set forth in Exhibit “A”. The minimum rate for the class shall apply to employees upon original appointment of the position. Employees reinstated or reemployed after layoff shall receive a rate within the range established for the class. Transfers shall not affect an employee's salary rate. Employees appointed to any of the positions set forth herein in Exhibit “A” and employed or working on a part-time basis shall be paid in proportion to the time worked and described in their appointment.
Application of Rates. In determining the applicable Rate for River Service, Trans-Gulf Ocean Service, Domestic Ocean Service or Foreign Ocean Service, the Rate in effect on the Day the applicable Service Segment is completed pursuant to Section 2.1.1 shall apply.
Application of Rates. Residential rates as described in Section 3 apply to service furnished in private homes or apartments (including all parts of the customer's domestic establishment) for domestic use. Residential rates also apply in college fraternity or sorority houses, convents and monasteries, and to the clergy for domestic use in residential quarters. Residential rates do not apply to service in residential locations if the listing indicates a business or profession. Residential rates do not apply to service furnished in residential locations if there is an extension line from the residential location to a business location unless the extension line is limited to incoming calls. The use of residential service and facilities is restricted to the customer, members of the customer's domestic establishment, and joint users.
Application of Rates a. Business rates as described in Section 3 apply to service furnished:
1. In office buildings, stores, factories and all other places of a business nature;
2. In hotels, apartment houses, clubs and boarding and rooming houses except when service is within the customer's domestic establishment and no business listings are provided; colleges, hospitals and other institutions; and in churches except when service is provided to an individual of the clergy for personal use only and business service is already established for the church at the same location;
3. At any location when the listing or public advertising indicates a business or a profession;
4. At any location where the service includes an extension which is at a location where business rates apply unless the extension is restricted to incoming calls;
5. At any location where the customer resells or shares exchange service;
b. The use of business facilities and service is restricted to the customer, customers, agents and representatives of the customer, and joint users.
Application of Rates. (a) The Carrier shall charge a Shipper the Carrier’s rate for the transportation of Crude Petroleum that is in effect on the earlier date of receipt of such Crude Petroleum by the Carrier, or Enbridge Pipelines Inc.
(b) Pursuant to FERC 18 C.F.R. 341.10, the existing rates between points named in the tariff will be applied to transportation movements from existing intermediate receiving points not named in the tariff to Regular Delivery Points, and from Regular Receiving Points to existing intermediate delivery points not named in the tariff.
Application of Rates. (a) The Carrier shall charge a Shipper the Carrier’s rate for the transportation of NGL on the volume of NGL transported by the Carrier and the volume of Petroleum blended with such NGL.
(b) The carrier shall charge a Shipper, on the volume of buffer material transported with such Shipper’s NGL, the Carrier’s rate for transportation of Crude Petroleum.
(c) The Carrier shall charge a Shipper the Carrier’s rate for the transportation of NGL and the Carrier’s rate for the transportation of Crude Petroleum that are in effect on the respective dates of receipt at the designated Regular Receiving Point for such Shipper’s NGL and buffer material. If the designated receiving point for a Shipper’s NGL is a designated regular receiving point of Enbridge Pipelines Inc., then the Carrier shall charge such Shipper the Carrier’s rate for the transportation of NGL and the Carrier’s rate for the transportation of Crude Petroleum that are in effect on the date of such receipt. Application of Rates. A. An Equipment Operator will be paid an application of rate as listed below when operating the following equipment: Snow Plow $ 1.50 per hour Oil Distributor $ 4.00 per hour Asphalt Truck $ 1.00 per hour (Water Department Only)
B. A Solid Waste Worker, when assigned to provide lunch relief or emergency back up at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility will receive five percent (5%) over base wage.
C. A Heavy Equipment Operator scheduled at the Recovery and Transfer Center will receive five percent (5%) over base wage.
D. The Street Maintenance Worker assigned as the Concrete Finisher’s assistant will start at Step 5.
E. The Street Maintenance Worker assigned to the Track Paver as Secondary Screed Operator will receive an additional one dollar ($1.00) above base wage for all hours operating the Screed. Management reserves the right to assign the most qualified employee to this equipment including overtime assignments.
F. A Street Maintenance Crew Leader assigned to the Track Paver as Primary Screed Operator will receive an additional dollar ($1.00) above their base wage for all hours operating the Screed. Management reserves the right to assign the most qualified employee to this equipment including overtime assignments.
G. Effective January 1, 1995, an Equipment Operator or Street Maintenance Worker who has accumulated one thousand (1,000) temporary upgrade hours since January 1, 1994 as a Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) will progress to Step 2. Equipment Operators and Street Maintenance Workers appointed to HEO who have greater than one thousand (1,000) hours of temporary set up time as HEO will be placed at Step 2 upon appointment. H. Equipment Operators, Street Maintenance Workers, Ground Maintenance Workers and Hydro Grounds Maintenance Workers who have or will have accumulated one thousand (1,000) temporary upgrade hours to Crew Leader since January 1, 2009 will be compensated at Step 2 of the applicable Crew Leader pay range when set up to perform the duties of that classification.
I. A Solid Waste Worker when assigned as a lead worker will receive an additional eight percent (8%).
J. Solid Waste Workers assigned in writing to assist in the development and implementation of safety programs, assist in the development and implementation of training programs and/or development and implementation of solid waste operations projects as may be designated by management, will receive eight percent (8%) over base wage.

Application of Rates. Crude Oil accepted for gathering and/or transportation shall be subject to the rates in effect on the date of receipt by Carrier, irrespective of the date of the tendered.
