ARTICLE JURY DUTY PAY. The Company agrees to pay a full day's pay at straight time hourly rates, for each day an employee is required to serve and does serve on any jury or serve as a crown witness, provided his or her department is scheduled to work on the days actually served on the jury or as a crown witness. The employee, however, will be required to turn in to the Company, the jury fees or witness fees and conduct money in order to receive the compensation above provided. The Company shall require an employee to prove that they have been subpoenaed as a crown witness.

ARTICLE JURY DUTY PAY. Employees who are required to serve on a jury shall be compensated for days actually spent on jury duty when they would, otherwise, have been at work. They shall receive the difference between their jury fees and their normal day's pay for that time they would have been regularly employed had they not been serving on the jury. The employee shall be required to report immediately upon being excused or released from jury duty where such reporting is reasonable under the circumstances. The claim of an employee shall be verified by presentation of his jury duty cheque. However, no payment shall be made for any hour for which the employee receives compensation by the Employer for any other reason. Payment shall not be withheld pending submission of the jury duty cheque. Any employee subpoenaed to attend as a witness on behalf of the Employer or the Crown shall be entitled to the difference between their witness fee and their normal day's pay. In the event employees serve on jury duty from Monday through Friday, they shall not be required to work on Saturday.
ARTICLE JURY DUTY PAY. Each full time employee who is summoned to and reports for jury duty or court witness, as prescribed by applicable law (subject to the eligibility requirements set out below) shall be paid by the Company the difference between the payment for such services received from the court (not including travelling allowance or reimbursement of expenses), and the difference between the employee’s calculated hourly rate as found in the salary schedule, exclusive of premiums for the number of hours up to eight (8) that he would otherwise have been scheduled to work. In order to receive payment under this provision, an employee must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

ARTICLE WAGE AND HOUR SCHEDULE The schedule of classifications and rates identified as Schedule "A are the rates for the classifications. Where any new classifications are created during the life of this Agreement, such classifications shall be subject to negotiations between the Company and the Union and a supplementary Agreement covering such classificationsshall be executed.

The Company's obligation to pay an employee for jury duty or court witness under this section is limited to a maximum of thirty (30) days in any calendar year, and in order to receive payment under this provision, an employee must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

  • ARTICLE JURY DUTY (a) Where an employee is required by subpoena to attend a court of law or xxxxxxx's inquest in connectionwith a case arising from the employee's duties on the premises of the Employer on his regularly scheduled day off, the Employer will attempt to reschedulethe employee's regular day off, it being understoodthat any rescheduling shall not result inthe payment of any premium pay. Where the Employer is unable to reschedule the employee and, as a result, he is required to attend on a regular day off he shall be paid for all hours actually spent at such hearing at his regular straight time hourly rate. It is agreed if this occurs on the employee's scheduled working day the employee will be paid as above. An employee requiredto servejury duty shall be paid the difference betweenwhat he would have earned for his scheduled hours, (without taking into account any shift premium or the like) and the fees received pursuant to the performance of jury duty. This will be affected by the employee signing over hisjury fees less expense money received from the authorities for meals and lodging and the Employer will continue the regular salary payments. The employee is to notify his supervisor as soon as possible after receipt of notice of selection for jury duty. The employee will come to work during those regularly scheduled hours that he is not requiredto attend at court.

  • JURY DUTY PAY All employees required to serve on jury duty shall be paid by the School District the difference between their regular pay and jury duty pay. In implementing this section, the School District shall continue to pay the employee the regular rate of pay and the employee shall be obligated upon receipt of the jury duty pay from the governmental agency to immediately remit any witness fees received to the School District less any mileage expenses. Absences under this section shall not be deducted from accumulated leave.

  • Jury Duty 31.1 An employee who is summoned for jury duty and is required to lose time from his assignment as a result thereof, shall be paid for actual time lost with a maximum of one basic day's pay at the straight time rate of his position for each day lost, less the amount allowed him for jury duty for each such day excluding allowances paid by the court for meals, lodging or transportation, subject to the following requirements and limitations:

  • Jury Duty Leave A regular, limited-term or probationary employee who is called for jury duty or for examination for jury duty shall be compensated at the employee's regular rate of pay for those hours of absence due to the jury duty which occur during the employee's regularly scheduled working hours provided the employee deposits the employee's fees for such hours of jury duty, exclusive of mileage, with the County Treasurer. Fees for jury duty performed during hours other than regularly scheduled working hours may be retained by the employee. Any hours worked beyond the regularly scheduled workday shall be subject to the workweek and overtime provisions (Article I). An employee may request a change in regularly scheduled working hours to a Monday through Friday day shift for the duration of such jury duty. Such requests shall be granted if practicable.
