Authorized Union Representative. The Union will notify the Company in writing of the authorized union representatives. The authorized Union representative shall accompany the company representative to a job site when the Union so requests.
Authorized Union Representative. The Union shall at all times keep the Company notified in writing of the name of each employee of the Company designated by the Union to act as the Shop Xxxxxxx in each of the operating units designated by the Company. The names of the respective Union and Company representatives designated to handle matters arising under this Agreement in each operating unit shall be posted on the Company's bulletin board in appropriate locations.
Authorized Union Representative. A Local Executive Board Member, Union Officer, Union Shop Xxxxxxx, Union Staff Representative, or other individual designated by the Union. Base Rate of Pay The rate of pay for an employee working in a given classification expressed as an hourly rate without the application of any premium pay or overtime multipliers. Benefited Position A regular position which fulfills the eligibility requirements for participation in medical, dental, retirement, vacation, sick leave, employee assistance program, and/or holidays. Cause Misconduct, inefficiency, incompetence, insubordination, malfeasance, or other unfitness to render effective and acceptable service. Class or Classification A group of positions sufficiently similar in duties, authority, and responsibility to permit grouping under a common title which would call for similar qualifications and the same schedule of pay. Domestic Partners Two unmarried adults who have a close personal relationship, share the same regular and permanent residence, and are responsible for each other’s common welfare. (Note: Health benefits enrollment of a domestic partner may require the employee to sign an “Affidavit of Domestic Partnership,” which may include a more specific and/or extensive definition than this one.) Emergency An unexpected occurrence or set of circumstances demanding immediate attention. Layoff Reduction in the work force of the Library directed by the employer for reasons other than disciplinary actions. Leadership Team Management group consisting of the Library’s Executive Director, Deputy Director, Customer Experience Director, Branch Managers, Customer Experience Managers, Development Director, Facilities Director, Finance & Business Director, Finance Manager, IT Manager, Marketing & Community Relations Director, Collection Management Manager, User Experience Manager and Staff Experience Director. Pay Period The interval of time adopted by the Library upon which the employee’s compensation is calculated.
