UNION AND COMPANY REPRESENTATIVES. The Union shall supply the Company with the names of employees who have been elected Union Officers, Executive Board Members, Grievance Committeemen and Stewards to represent the Union, and will keep the list up-to-date. In the administration (but not its negotiations or the negotiation of renewals, extensions or amendments) of this Agreement, Union representatives meeting with Management of Man- agement will be paid for such time as is SO taken during working hours. Employees in number up to one employee for each one hundred employees or each major fraction thereof in the appropriate Plant, but not to exceed a total of ten employees, subject to the production re- quirements, may be granted permission to be absent in order to attend Union conven- tions An employee, having fifty-two weeks or more service credits with the Company, who is elected or appointed by a Local or other Locals named in this Agreement to full time work with such Local or Locals or who is elected a National Officer or appointed to the full time staff of the Union shall, on making fifteen days prior written application to the appropriate Personnel Manager and stat- ing a definite period for the absence, be granted leave of absence during the term of this Agreement without loss of service credits (but without pay or time on leave of absence being credited to his service credits) for a period not to exceed one year. Such leaves of absence shall, on receipt of fifteen days prior written application be extended from year to year, but not to exceed a total of five years leave of absence by any one employee during his total period of employ- ment with the Company. Not more than ten employees in the aggregate from all the Locals to this Agreement shall be granted such leave of absence at any one time. The Company will supply the Union with a list of Foremen, Supervisors, Superintendents and their departments together with the names of other persons in the appropriate Plant with whom the Union might have trans- actions in connection with this Agreement.

18.02 Employees in number up to one employee for the first one hundred and one employee for each one hundred employees thereafter or each major fraction thereof in a Plant but not to exceed a total of ten employees, subject to the production or work requirements, will be granted permission, which will not be unreasonably withheld, to be absent in order to attend Union conventions. In order to comply with this, all such requests will be made through Human Resources whose staff will interpret the intent of this Article to obtain clearance from supervision to the fullest extent permissible.

Likewise, the Director of Human Relations will furnish the Union the names and/or titles of the President’s Delegate by Business Unit and Company officials designated to settle or decide grievances at Steps 1, 2 and 3 as set forth below.

UNION AND COMPANY REPRESENTATIVES. 19.01 The Company acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select a shop committee of one (1) Bargaining Unit employee.
19.02 The Company acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select an appropriate number of employees to act as stewards and to aid employees in presenting their grievances to the representatives of the Company. The number of stewards selected shall not exceed one (1) for each twenty-five (25) employees.
19.03 The Company undertakes to instruct all members of its supervisory staff to cooperate with the stewards in carrying out the terms and requirements of this Agreement.
19.04 The Union undertakes to secure from its officers, stewards and members their cooperation with the Company and with all persons representing the Company in any supervisory capacity.
19.05 The privilege of stewards and officers to leave their work without loss of pay to attend to Union business is granted, except that:
a) The time shall be devoted to the prompt handling of necessary Union business. Such business shall consist of adjusting grievances for workers and such other business as may be mutually agreed upon.
b) The stewards and/or the employee concerned shall obtain permission from the supervisor concerned before leaving their work. It is agreed that emergency work should be completed before an employee or xxxxxxx leaves his work to adjust a grievance.
c) The time away from productive work on Union business shall be reported on the Daily Time Sheet.
d) The Company reserves the right to limit the time paid for by the Company if it deems the time so taken to be excessive, after discussion with the Shop Xxxxxxx.
19.06 a) The Company will compensate the representatives as outlined in 19.01 and 19.02 of this Article at their straight time base rate of pay while in attendance at grievance meetings with the Company or meetings called by the Company and for time lost from the job while otherwise processing grievances.
