Bargaining Agents Fee. 1. The parties recognize the role of the Electrical Trades Union of Australia, NSW Branch ("the union") in negotiating this Award. 2. The parties recognize the role of the union in maintaining the integrity of the industrial standards contained in this Award during its operation. 3. The parties recognize the more beneficial wage and non-wage benefits provided to employees by this Award as compared to the previous Award. 4. Accordingly, the parties agree that it is appropriate that employees pay to the union, a bargaining agents fee. 5. The parties agree that the requirement to pay to the union a bargaining agents fee is a condition of employment under this Agreement. 6. The company shall also advise all prospective employees, prior to commencing work for the company, that a bargaining agent fee is payable to the union and what the amount of that fee is. 7. The parties agree that the employer shall deduct each fortnight from the payment to employees working under this Agreement, and to pay to the union, the payment specified in clause 56.9. 8. No deduction shall be made from the payment of employees who have payroll deductions for union membership fees. 9. The bargaining agents fee that is payable will be $13.80 per fortnight for the life of the Agreement.
Bargaining Agents Fee. The company shall advise all existing employees that a "Bargaining Agents Fee" of $377.00 (or at the rate of the current annual Tradesmen’s ticket for that year) payable to the Electrical Trades Union of Australia, New South Wales Branch (ETU) on or prior to 16 December. This bargaining fee is to be paid annually, and in advance of 16 December. The company shall also advise all new employees prior to commencing work for the company that a Bargaining Agent Fee of $377.00 (or at the rate of the current annual Tradesmen’s ticket for that year) per annum is payable to the ETU on or prior to the 16 December each year. The company will provide to all new employees an authority to deduct the Bargaining Agents Fee from their wages before commencement of employment. The relevant employee, to which this clause shall applies shall pay the Bargaining Agents Fee to the ETU on a pro-rata basis for any time which the employee is employed by the company. By arrangement with the ETU this can be done in two instalments throughout the year. If an employee can demonstrate to the ETU that are no longer employed by the company, then they are entitled to apply to have such fees reimbursed on a pro-rata basis.

The company shall further advise all current and existing employees that the first payment shall be paid to the ETU within one month of the certification of the agreement on a pro-rata basis up to the 16th December. Thereafter the bargaining agents fee shall then be paid annually, and in advance, on 16th December. The company shall also advise all new employees prior to commencing work for the company that a "Bargaining Agents" fee of $500.00 per annum is payable to the ETU on or prior to the 16th December each year. The employer shall advise the employee that he first payment shall be payable is pro-rata from the time of commencing until 16th December. Thereafter the bargaining agents fee shall then be paid annually, and in advance, on 16th December. The relevant employee to which this clause shall pay the "Bargaining Agents" Fee to the ETU on a pro-rata basis for any time which the employee is employed by the company. By arrangement with the ETU this can be done in two instalments throughout the year. If an employee can demonstrate to the ETU that they are no longer employed by the company then they are entitled to apply to have such fees reimbursed on a pro-rata basis.
Bargaining Agents Fee. 39.1 The Employer must advise all employees prior to commencing work for the Employer that a 'Bargaining Agents Fee' of $400 per annum is payable to the Union on or prior to 1 March each year. 39.2 Each employee must pay the `Bargaining Agents Fee' to the Union in advance on a pro rata basis for any time which the employee is employed by the Employer. By arrangement with the Union, the 'Bargaining Agents Fee" may be paid in 2 instalments throughout the year. 39.3 The Employer must, at the request of an employee, provide a direct debit facility to pay the 'Bargaining Agents Fee' to the Union in accordance with this clause.

  • Local Bargaining Committee The Hospital agrees to recognize a negotiating committee comprised of hospital employee representatives of the Union for the purpose of negotiating a renewal agreement (as set out in the Local Provisions Appendix). The Hospital agrees to pay members of the negotiating committee for straight time wages lost from their regularly scheduled working hours spent in direct negotiations for a renewal agreement, up to but not including arbitration. Nothing in this provision is intended to preclude the Union negotiating committee from having the assistance of any representatives of the Canadian Union of Public Employees when negotiating with the Hospital.
