Basic Scope. A/E shall perform architectural or engineering services under the A/E Agreement and coordinate all services with the Owner’s Construction Manager-At-Risk for the following project: Demolition of Buildings 517, 519, 520, and Emergency Generator replacements for Buildings 545 and 686.Building 650 renovations to upgrade the infrastructure, replace the windows and make renovations including HVAC upgrades required to provide one patient ready floor in Building A. Documents will additional work on the other 2 floors of Building A as needed.

Basic Scope. The scope of work includes reconfiguration of food preparation, dry and cold storage, cart loading, xxxx wash, and staff support spaces to improve work flow and support current food service needs as well as census increases, eliminate cross contamination, improve infection control, and address Food Code, NFPA fire suppression and life safety, and accessibility violations. The scope includes upgrade and selective replacement of cold storage and related equipment, building systems to meet mechanical, electrical, and sanitary loads, replacement of non- functional grease trap, and sufficient emergency generator capacity to support full operation near peak loading. Phase 1 (this Activation) includes full Design through 100% Construction Documents, and purchase of long lead equipment.
Basic Scope. The term “Covered Service” designates and includes: (a) service as a director or officer of the corporation; (b) service by a person while he or she is an officer or director of the corporation (i) as an agent or representative of the corporation, (ii) in any other capacity with the corporation, (iii) as a director, officer, employee, agent or representative of, or in any other capacity with, any Affiliate, (iv) in any capacity with any Employee Plan, and (v) in any other capacity in which such person shall have been asked to serve by the corporation’s Board of Directors or Chief Executive Officer; (c) any services which constituted “Covered Service” under the Amended and Restated Agreement of Limited Partnership for ServiceMaster Limited Partnership; and (d) any other service of any kind by any person with any organization or entity of any kind (whether or not affiliated with the corporation) which shall be designated in writing as Covered Service by a majority of the members of the corporation’s Board of Directors or by the corporation’s Chief Executive Officer. Service shall be deemed to constitute “Covered Service” if it is so designated by the terms in the preceding sentence regardless of whether it shall have been performed prior to, at, or after the time this Article Nine shall have become part of the corporation’s Certificate of Incorporation. Any person shall be entitled to rely upon any written confirmation provided by the Corporation’s Chief Executive Officer or by the Corporation’s Board of Directors that service by such person in any capacity specified in such confirmation will constitute Covered Service and to rely upon the protection afforded by this Article Nine in connection with such service. In no event shall the failure to obtain any written confirmation that any service is covered by this Article Nine take away or in any way impair the right of the person providing such service to receive any payment under this Article Nine if such person is entitled to receive such payment in connection with such service under the provisions in this Article Nine.

Basic Scope. The Scope includes building renovation for patient safety, life safety, and to eliminate ligature hazards in Patient Sleeping and Patient Common Areas in Buildings 518, 521, and 536, replacement of fire doors and hardware in Patient-use or accessed buildings, electronic access controls at exterior doors in Administrative Buildings to improve site security, and replacement of the fire sprinkler system for code compliance in Building 695.

Basic Scope. Evaluation of selected buildings at the Rio Grande State Center and Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center to identify existing power usage, determine needed electrical supply configuration and connection points in order to supply emergency power generation for the buildings. This study and report will be evaluated and followed by an Amendment to this activation to provide full construction documentation for implementation of the recommendations.
