Battalion Chief. When an employee who is classified as a Captain is temporarily detailed to perform all duties of a Battalion Chief for one (1) hour or more, such employee shall be paid the base rate, and any premiums, if applicable, of the Battalion Chief classification for the hours worked at the hourly rate.
Battalion Chief. In accepting employment with the City of San Xxxxxx, each employee agrees to be governed by and to comply with the City’s Personnel Ordinance, City’s Personnel Rules and Regulations, City’s Employer-Employee Resolution, City’s Administrative Procedures, and Fire Department Rules and Regulations, General Orders and Procedures.

Battalion ChiefMembers of the bargaining unit in the ranks of captain and lieutenant shall be eligible to participate in the process for promotion to battalion chief if they meet the following qualifications: • Have served a minimum of five (5) years in an officer’s rank of lieutenant or above. • Certified as a Fire Officer II or Advanced Fire Officer as described by the Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshal. • Have completed a minimum of sixty (60) semester hours of course work from an accredited college or university. Employees who have an anniversary date on or after January 1 of the calendar year in which the promotion process is administered shall be considered eligible. The process shall be deemed to be commenced upon the issuance of a written notice by the fire chief and shall be posted to members of the fire department. After such notice the test shall be administered within a six (6) month period.
Battalion Chief. 1. Must have obtained an advanced certificate certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection Standards and Education. 2. Must have obtained at least six (6) semester hours in approved Fire (2). Must have obtained at least six (6) semester hours in approved Fire Technology classes. Battalion Chief. Seventy-five percent (75%) of net differential between the hourly rate of Battalion Chief and Captain, starting with the fourth (4th) consecutive shift; one hundred percent (100%) of the net differential between the hourly rate of a Battalion Chief and Captain after the fifteenth (15th) consecutive shift from appointment. The City may, upon request of the Union, consider compensation from the first shift due to unique and unusual circumstances.

If there are no personnel on the Battalion Chief’s Certified Promotion List, then the vacancy will be offered to the senior qualified Captain. iii. If there are no qualified Captains, then the vacancy will be offered to the senior qualified employee on the Captain’s Certified Promotional List. iv. If there are no personnel on the Captain’s Certified Promotion /list for the position, then the vacancy will be offered to the senior qualified Lieutenant. v. If there are no available Lieutenants, then the vacancy will be offered to the senior qualified employee on the Lieutenant’s Certified Promotional List. vi. If there are no personnel on the Lieutenant’s Certified Promotion List, then the vacancy will be offered to the senior qualified employee.
Battalion Chief. 1. Have a minimum of three years of experience as a captain in the Department; and
Battalion ChiefTo qualify for the rank of Battalion Chief, an employee must be a Captain immediately preceding the time the opening is posted. The employee must also have successfully completed Company Officer I, II and III or its equivalent and additionally be certified as a Fire Service Instructor and Incident Safety Officer within one (1) year of being awarded the position in order to receive the stipend.
