Beginning Salaries. At the time of hire, an employee, excluding temporary employees may make application in writing for recognition of recent experience year for year, as a RN with another Employer to the maximum of the grid. The employee shall furnish documentation to support the claim, and once the claim has been established, the employee will be placed on the grid accordingly, and retroactive credit to the start of employment with the employer will be given. If a period of more than two (2) years has elapsed since the employee has occupied a full time or part time nursing position, then the number of increments paid, if any, will be at the discretion of the employer.

Beginning Salaries. Bargaining unit members shall normally be employed at the first step of the appropriate salary range. If exceptional recruitment difficulties are encountered or a candidate with unusually high qualifications is being considered for employment, the District may approve initial placement above the first step of the range.

Beginning Salaries. The Corporation will recognize related continuous past experience elsewhere provided that such experience was gained during a period terminating not more than four (4) years prior to the nurse hiring by the Corporation, on the basis of one step increment for each two (2) years of past service to the maximum of Step Number A nurse who is assigned to relieve a Nursing Supervisor when the Nursing Unit Supervisor is absent for a period of four (4) hours or more or is assigned in charge on afternoons, nights, weekends and paid holidays will receive a responsibility allowance of one dollar ($1 per hour. If a mechanic's helper's hourly rate is less than the starting bus driver's rate, then he/she shall be paid at the bus driver's rate or his/her current hourly rate, whichever is greater, for the period of time that he/she drives a bus run (transporting students). Said rate shall increase as his normal hourly rate increases. 4. When a cafeteria worker or custodian is "promoted" to a higher position, he/she shall receive a minimum increase of $.50 per hour over and above the rate he/she would have been paid had he/she stayed in the lesser position. Beginning salary shall be the determining factor regarding what constitutes a promotion. 5. When a cafeteria worker or custodian is "assigned" to a higher position, he/she shall receive a minimum increase of $.50 per hour over and above the rate had he/she stayed in the lesser position. Said increase shall become effective on the third consecutive day of such "assignment" and not before. Beginning salary shall be the determining factor regarding what constitutes an assignment.
