Salary Grids. The applicable salary grades for positions covered by this Agreement in Appendix “A” are attached.

Salary Grids. Classifications and salary rates are attached as Schedule "A" and forms part of this Collective Agreement. The years referred to in the salary schedules shall mean years of continuous service with the Employer in the designated classification, plus the applicable allowances under 23.04. Years of service on the new grid may not relate to the employee’s service level as a result of April 1, 2007 harmonization of the grids and blending the bargaining units. (a) Each regular full-time employee will be advanced appropriately from her/his present level in Schedule A, twelve (12) months after she/he was last advanced on her or his salary anniversary date. If a regular full-time employee’s absence without pay from the Employer exceeds thirty (30) continuous calendar days the anniversary dates will be in accordance with the collective agreement’s Effect of Absence clause. (b) Each regular part-time and casual employee will be advanced appropriately from her/his present level on the salary schedule to the next level on the salary schedule after obtaining one year’s service credit, calculated in accordance with the provisions of Article 23.03 – Step Increases.

Salary Grids. B.1.1. All Teachers, other than co-ordinators and assistant co-ordinators, shall be paid in accordance with their placement on the grids (shown on the following pages) as determined by B.2.0. and B.3.0. B.1.2. Should a Teacher's Total Salary payable before promotion exceed the Teacher's Total Salary payable at Step 0 after promotion, then the Teacher shall be placed at the next step, on the appropriate grid, up to the maximum, which will if possible result in the Total Salary payable after promotion exceeding the Total Salary payable before promotion. For salary purposes the Teacher shall be deemed to have experience equivalent to such salary step and advance each year thereafter. B.1.3. Notwithstanding B.1.2., the Total Salary of a Teacher shall not be reduced by a promotion to a Position of Responsibility. The effective date of the promotion shall be used in the comparison of the two salaries.

Salary Grids. 1. All teachers shall move through and across the salary grid in accordance with their individual experience and qualifications, in accordance with their local collective agreement. The increments shall come into effect on the ninety-seventh (97th) day of each school year. The government shall provide all necessary funding to enable teacher salary grid movement for both qualifications and experience for the duration of this Memorandum of Understanding for those teachers funded through the Pupil Foundation Grant and the Teacher Qualifications and Experience Allocation. 2. The government shall meet to review school board employee salary grids with stakeholders during the term of the 2012 to 2014 PDT agreements including, but not limited to, how employees move on the experience and qualification salary grid (where applicable) and the variation currently in the monetary value of each grid step, with a view to future sustainability.
