BREAKS/LUNCH. 1. Employees working six (6) or more hours per day are entitled to one-half (1/2) hour lunch and two (2) 10 minute breaks daily with the exception of maintenance who are entitled to a One (1) hour lunch and two (2) 10 minute breaks daily.

BREAKS/LUNCH. Any employee who works four (4) consecutive hours is entitled to a paid ten (10) minute break. Any employee who works over five (5) consecutive hours is entitled to a paid one-half (1/2) hour lunch break. Any employee who works seven (7) consecutive hours or more is entitled to one paid ten (10) minute break in addition to a paid one-half (1/2) hour lunch. Breaks and lunch breaks will be scheduled with the immediate supervisor.

BREAKS/LUNCH. All DESPA members will work eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per week with a duty free (1/2) one half hour unpaid lunch period. Each employee shall be allowed a fifteen (15) minute break for each four hours worked. Breaks are inclusive of an employee’s work day. If a break is not taken, the employee may not extend lunch period or leave his or her regular hours early unless there is prior written approval from the building administrator. Breaks and lunch schedule shall be determined mutually by the administrator and employees. The District will credit all in-attendance DESPA employees with a daily, automatic half hour (30 minutes) lunch period in the timekeeping system, so employees will not be required to swipe their time cards when they take and return from their half hour (30 minute) lunch period. DESPA employees are responsible for notifying their supervisor if they miss or plan to miss an entire lunch period, or any portion thereof, that they are/were unable to take their full half hour (30 minute) lunch period. DESPA acknowledges that their employees must notify their supervisor of such information, so the supervisor can make necessary changes to the employee’s timekeeping system record.

BREAKS/LUNCH. All full time employees shall be granted either: (1) two fifteen-minute paid breaks per day – one in the morning and one in the afternoon; or (2) one thirty minute paid break; or (3) a thirty-minute extension to the employees’ unpaid lunch break. Employees may choose the option and must notify their supervisors of their respective choices.
