Building Checks. Employees assigned to perform building checks shall be paid for a minimum of one (1) hour at a rate of time and one-half their regular hourly rate. Employees assigned to perform building checks on a holiday shall be paid for a minimum of one (1) hour at a rate of double time of the employee’s regular hourly rate. If emergency circumstances are found to exist during the building check, the employee is to contact the building principal, physical plant director or assistant director to report the situation. Any additional time worked beyond one hour requires prior approval of the Physical Plant Director/Designee.
Building Checks. When an employee is required by the District to return to the employee’s building site outside of the employee’s regular workday, the employee shall be paid for a minimum of two (2) hours. Overtime will be paid when applicable.
Building Checks. 1. The Head Custodian or other designated employee may be required to perform a building check on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays in which event the employee shall be expected to perform same. The purpose of these checks is to be sure the building is secure, that there has been no vandalism, that boilers and other mechanical equipment are functioning, and similar checks. In the event there is a problem needing immediate attention, the custodian is to take necessary action to correct the situation. If assistance is needed, he/she should call the principal, assistant principal, business manager, or the superintendent, in that order, for approval for the time required.
Building Checks. A Maintenance person shall be responsible for checking the heating system and building security according to the schedule provided by the Director of Facilities Management. This function shall not be counted as days or hours worked. Pay shall be three (3) hours at time and one-half (1-1/2) for each day the service is performed, such time as shall be actually worked and approved, whichever is greater.
Building Checks. Shall be paid at a minimum of two hours each day a building check is required. Building checks shall be conducted on a seniority rotation basis by personnel having the necessary skills as determined by the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds. Employees are expected to perform one hour of work if needed, as determined by the Supervisor, to receive the minimum payment.
Building Checks. Building checks will be performed on a weekly basis on Saturdays and/or Sundays if necessary from November 1 through March 1. Any other requests for building checks will be determined by the custodian’s supervisor. Building checks shall be rotated on a seniority basis among custodians. Building checks will be no more than two (2) hours and will be paid at the rate of one and one- half times (1-½) the regular hourly rate of pay. Custodians performing building checks shall be paid a minimum of one (1) hour and a maximum of two (2) hours, unless otherwise approved by their supervisor. The individual is required to enter the building and make a thorough check of the facilities. Custodians performing building checks will comply with the responsibilities and duties indicated on a building checklist. If no custodians from their respective campus are available to perform a building check, management may call a substitute from the department overtime list by seniority to perform the check.
Building Checks. The maintenance supervisor/administration shall determine the need for building checks on week-ends, holidays, during summer months, or other days the school is not in session. Their rate of pay will equal a minimum of two (2) hour of pay per day. Any employee shall not be required to do building checks the day preceding or the day following a leave due to vacation or illness.
Building Checks a. The School Plant Engineer, or his/her employee designee, of each building of the School District where regular operational personnel are not assigned for regular Saturday, Sunday and holiday work will be paid time and one-half of the employee’s rate for the following times: Class C (Elementary) Schools 30 Minutes Class B (Middle) Schools 45 Minutes Class A (Central Middle & High School) Schools 1 Hr. to 1 Hr. 15 Minutes for each complete building check when assigned. Building checks shall be made between the hours of 6:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. It is highly recommended these checks need to be completed in a 24-hour time period.
Building Checks. 4.1 Time allowances for building checks are: Senior High 1 hour & 45 minutes Lincoln/Ad. Ctr. 1 hour Xxxxxx Jr. High 1 hour & 30 minutes North Cedar 45 minutes Peet Jr. High/C.S. 1 hour & 30 minutes Orchard Hill/ESC 1 hour Cedar Heights 1 hour Southdale 1 hour & Xxxxxx 1 hour & 15 minutes 15 minutes Note: The time allowance for Xxxxxxx shall be the same as that for Southdale for 2019-20. A time study shall be conducted during the year to determine the allowance which shall be discussed during bargaining for the 2020-21 school year.
Building Checks. An employee required to make building checks on the weekends, holidays, and/or during inclement weather, etc., will receive a minimum of two (2) hours pay.
