Child Care Facilities. The Committee shall investigate the availability and/or establishment of facilities and equipment for child care centres for children of employees covered by this Agreement.
Child Care Facilities. Tenant acknowledges that any child care facilities located in the Project (the "Child Care Facilities") which are available to Tenant and Tenant's employees are provided by a third party (the "Child Care Provider") which is leasing space in the Project, and not by Landlord. If Tenant or its employees choose to use the Child Care Facilities, Tenant acknowledges that Tenant and Tenant's employees are not relying upon any investigation which Landlord may have conducted concerning the Child Care Provider or any warranties or representation with respect thereto, it being the sole responsibility of Tenant and the individual user of the Child Care Facilities to conduct any and all investigations of the Child Care Facilities prior to making use thereof. Accordingly, Landlord shall have no responsibility with respect to the quality or care provided by the Child Care Facilities, or for any acts or omissions of the Child Care Provider. Furthermore, Tenant, for Tenant and for Tenant's employees, hereby agrees that Landlord, its members and their respective partners, subpartners, officers, agents, servants, employees, and independent contractors shall not be liable for, and are hereby released from any responsibility for any loss, cost, damage, expense or liability, either to person or property, arising from the use of the Child Care Facilities by Tenant or Tenant's employees. Tenant hereby covenants that Tenant shall inform all of Tenant's employees of the provisions of this Section 29.9 prior to such employees' use of the Child Care Facilities.
Child Care Facilities. (a) The Employer and the Union agree to establish a Joint Committee to facilitate the establishment of community based child care centres.
(b) The Joint Committee shall be composed of two (2) Union representatives and two (2) Employer representatives. The designates of each Party shall be gender balanced. Employees representing the Union on this Joint Committee shall be on leave of absence without loss of basic pay for time on this Committee.
(c) The Joint Committee may facilitate the establishment of community based child care facilities where viable.
(d) The Joint Committee may establish sub-committees where appropriate to facilitate objectives of this clause.
(e) The Joint Committee shall include representation and participation from interested community based groups or organizations. The Committee shall determine which community based groups or organizations shall be represented.
(f) The Joint Committee may seek the advice and support of other Public Service program areas including but not limited to the Ministry of Women's Equality, the Ministry of Social Services, B.C.B.C. and the Employee Benefit Trust.
(g) Where suitable space is available in an Employer owned or leased facility without major or structural modification, the space may be made available for the purpose of establishing the community based child care facility. The Employer's sole financial responsibility is limited to the provision of such space.
Child Care Facilities. (a) The Joint Committee established under Article 28 shall investigate the availability and/or establishment of facilities and equipment for child care centres for children of employees covered by this Agreement.
(b) The Committee shall make monthly reports to the parties on its activities and progress.
(c) The issue of reserved seats at the Daycare for employees shall be referred to the Joint Committee for resolution.
Child Care Facilities. (a) The Employer and the Union agree that there shall be established a Child Care Committee, which will study the feasibility of establishing Child Care Facilities or alternate facilities for children of Employees and students at BCIT.
(b) The Committee shall be composed of a representative group of the BCIT Community.
(c) Time off with pay for Employees shall be allowed for serving on this committee.
Child Care Facilities. The parties recognise the importance of good quality childcare facilities being readily available to employees, and support present childcare arrangements.

Child Care Facilities. (A) When an applicant proposes a housing development that is eligible for a density bonus under this Chapter and includes a child care facility on the premises or adjacent to the housing development, the applicant shall receive an additional density bonus that is in an amount of square feet of residential space that is equal to the square footage of the child care facility; or the applicant may receive another incentive that contributes significantly to the economic feasibility of the construction of the child care facility, provided that, in both cases, the following conditions are incorporated in the conditions of approval for the housing development:
1. The child care facility shall remain in operation for a period of time that is as long as or longer than the period of time during which the affordable units are required to remain affordable pursuant to the terms of the affordable housing agreement required by this Chapter.
2. Attendance of children at the child care facility shall have an equal percentage or greater of children from very low, lower, and moderate income households than the percentage of affordable units in the housing development.
(B) The City may deny the request for a density bonus or incentive for a child care facility if the City finds, based upon substantial evidence, that the community has adequate child care facilities without the facilities being considered as part of the subject housing development.
