City Holidays. There are nine (9) holidays. They are: New Year's Day Labor Day Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx. Day Veterans’ Day President's Day Thanksgiving Day Memorial Day Christmas Day Independence Day

City Holidays. 1. The City recognizes the following holidays, which are referred to in this Article as fixed or actual holidays: a. January 1; b. Third Monday in January, known as “Xx. Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xx.’s Birthday;” c. Third Monday in February, known as “Presidents’ Day;” d. March 31, known as “Xxxxx Xxxxxx Day;” e. Last Monday in May, known as “Memorial Day;” f. July 4; g. First Monday in September known as “Labor Day;” h. November 11, known as “Veteran’s Day;” i. Fourth Thursday in November, known as “Thanksgiving Day;” j. December 25; and k. Every day appointed by City Council for a public fast, thanksgiving or holiday. 2. If January 1, March 31, July 4, November 11, or December 25 falls on a Sunday, the following Monday is the City-observed holiday. And if any of these dates falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday is the City-observed holiday.

City Holidays. All affected employees shall have the following paid holidays off: 1.) New Year’s Day: January 1 or the first regular City Hall workday of the year;‌

City Holidays. Employees shall earn eighty (80) hours of holiday time per calendar year as listed in Section 8.1.1.. Holiday time can be taken at any time after it is earned (the pay period in which the holiday occurs). Upon separation, employees are not entitled to any payout for unused holiday time (no cash out).

City Holidays. Regular employees receive a total of 12 City holidays each calendar year. The City observes the following 12 fixed holidays: New Year's Day Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx. Birthday President's Day Memorial Day Friday following Thanksgiving Day Christmas Eve Christmas Day New Year’s Eve Observance: holidays which fall on a Saturday will normally be observed on the preceding Friday, holidays which fall on a Sunday will normally be observed on the following Monday. The City Manager will determine the actual dates on which holidays will be observed each year. Either an eight (8), nine (9), or ten (10) hour floating holiday is provided at the beginning of each fiscal year depending on the employee’s assigned work plan at the time floating holidays are issued. The floating holiday hours will be pro-rated at the time of hire. When using a floating holiday, employee must use the hours in one block. The floating holiday cannot be used to make up time for being short time during a regular workday. The floating holiday needs to be treated as a regular City observed holiday. The floating holiday may not be carried over year to year and cannot be cashed out at the end of a fiscal year or upon separation of employment. Eligibility: regular employees who are on paid status (i.e.: receiving regular wages or using a paid time off such as CAL or comp time) for their entire regular work shifts immediately prior to and immediately following the holiday will be paid for the holiday. Partial wage replacement such as Workers’ Compensation or short-term and long-term disability payments shall be considered paid status for the purpose of eligibility.

City Holidays. 1. City's observed ten (10) holidays are: New Year's Day, Xx. Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xx.'s Birthday, Presidents Day, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. 2. Services under this Agreement are required on City observed holidays, unless Contractor is provided written notice otherwise by the City. Security service work performed on City Holidays will be paid at the same hourly rates as regular service under the Agreement.
