Clarification Notes. These classifications remain until the current incumbents are no longer employed as Dispenser, Utility, Printer, Fill Compounder, Encaps Tech, or Gel Technician, as the case may be. ** These are the potential new Classifications. Current Printers will not be forced to learn Encapsulation. The current Utility employees will not be forced into the new broader classification of Material Prep but will be included in the classification. The two current Dispensers shall not be forced into the new broader classification of Material Prep but will be included in the classification. The remaining Fill Compounders and Gel Technicians will be part of the new broader classification of Material Prep. If there are insufficient successful applicants for any of the new Classification postings, the Employer may direct the re classification of active employees in the predecessor classifications of up to 50% of the number of incumbents in the predecessor classifications at the time of ratification, in reverse order of seniority. If there is still insufficient employees in the new classification, then Article 12 will be utilized. After posting, there shall be a Joint Advisory Committee (chair and 2 other members of the negotiation committee and up to the equivalent number of management and one (1) person from the relevant new job classification) for implementation issues not specifically addressed in this Article. LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING # 24 – New Hires All new hires post ratification of April 27, 2016, will receive the following: Sick\Personal Leave Sick pay is pro rated for first year of employment. 24 hours per year until fifth year of employment. 3% Employee contribution, plus voluntary employee contributions as permitted by the plan. 3% Employer contribution. New hires will commence receiving C.O.L.A. in Year 5 of employment (after completing fourth year of employment, along with the required hours).
