Winter Break Closure. If the University implements a Winter Break Closure Policy between the Christmas Holiday and New Year’s Day, the Bargaining Unit will receive the same benefit as described in that University Policy, except that if employees are required to work any or all of the Winter Break Closure day(s), the employee will have the opportunity to take that time off at a later date during the new calendar year.

Winter Break Closure. The University is closed from 5:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, December 21, 2019 through until 9:00 a.m. EST on Sunday, January 5, 2020 (hereinafter called the “Winter Break”). As such, the Resident is required to vacate the premises by no later than 24 hours after the Resident’s last December exam, or by no later than 5:00 p.m. on the last day of the December exam period as specified in the University Academic Calendar, whichever comes first. The Resident is expected to secure alternate accommodation during this period. Residents may return to the premises no earlier than 9:00 a.m. EST on Sunday, January 5, 2019. Accommodations during this period may be made available to residents with extenuating circumstances (e.g. international students, out of province students, etc.). A resident may seek permission to remain during this period by submitting a request using the appropriate form (hereinafter called the “Winter Break Application”) before Friday, November 08, 2019. Such requests will be considered and determined by Student Housing & Residence Life in its sole and absolute discretion. Requests received after Friday, November 08, 2019 will be subject to a late fee. Upon approval of a Winter Break Application, residents will continue to be subject to the terms outlined in this Agreement. During the Winter Break closure, no food services, caretaking, or other services above and beyond emergency services will be provided. No overnight guests or social gatherings are permitted; it is 24-hour quiet period for the duration of the Winter Break. RESIDENCE APPLICATION & ELIGIBILITY
Winter Break Closure. The University is closed from Wednesday, December 21, 2022 to Sunday, January 8, 2023. The Resident is required to vacate the Room during the closure but may leave their belongings behind. The Resident is expected to secure alternate accommodation during this period. Residents with exceptional circumstances (e.g. International students who cannot return home) may apply to stay in Residence at a cost of $60 per night on December 22, 2022, and December 23, 2022 or a flat rate of $500 for December 22, 2022 to January 8, 2023. Students who do not request housing during the closure will not have access to the Residences during the Winter Break closure. During the closure period the University is closed and services will be limited; food services are closed, there are no IT services, the Reception & Services Desk is closed, and there are minimal staff on-site. Applications for Winter Break accommodation will be available by mid- October, 2022 and the submission deadline is November 18, 2022. Permission to remain in the Residences during this time period is subject to University approval and should not be considered automatic. Students may return to Residence after 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2023. Applications received on or after November 19, 2022 will be charged a flat rate of $600.

Winter Break Closure. ‌ The College closes annually between December 25 and January 1 for Winter Break Closure. Winter Break Closure is not covered by Article 9Interruption of Campus Operations and is not a holiday. Bargaining unit members are not expected to report to work during Winter Break Closure, unless specifically scheduled in advance or requested to do so. In recognition that the College will be closed on four (4) days that bargaining unit members would otherwise be scheduled to work, the College will pay full-time bargaining unit members eight (8) hours of pay at their regular rate of pay for each of these four (4) days. In the event the College determines that a minimum service level is required during Winter Break Closure, it will post such schedule in accordance with Article 26, Section 2. Employees who fulfill their duty to report or to remain at work during Winter Break Closure will receive straight time pay for the hours the College is closed for their normal scheduled work hours not to exceed eight
Winter Break Closure. The District will maintain the time between Christmas and New Year’s Day as a Winter Break Closure (i.e., District will close operations from the last working day preceding Christmas at 5:00 p.m. and will reopen for operations the next working day following the recognized New Year’s Day holiday at 8:00 a.m. All bargaining unit members will receive regularly paid holidays during the Winter Break Closure. The current approved local and legal holidays are to be utilized during this time. Part-time unit members would receive the same 14 paid holidays if the holiday falls on a unit member’s regular work day. Any unit member who is not regularly scheduled to work on a holiday will receive pay or banked time off at their regular pay rate based on their normal daily work day. The normal work day will be calculated by dividing the unit member’s schedule hours per week worked divided by scheduled number of days worked.

  • Christmas Closedown 15.1 It is agreed that whenever annual leave is taken in conjunction with the Christmas/New Year period (as per Calendar in sub-clause 2.11), it is to be taken in accordance with the following procedure.

  • Post-Commercial Operation Date Testing and Modifications Each Party shall at its own expense perform routine inspection and testing of its facilities and equipment in accordance with Good Utility Practice as may be necessary to ensure the continued interconnection of the Large Generating Facility with the Participating TO’s Transmission System in a safe and reliable manner. Each Party shall have the right, upon advance written notice, to require reasonable additional testing of the other Party’s facilities, at the requesting Party’s expense, as may be in accordance with Good Utility Practice.

  • TIME OF COMPLETION The Owner shall issue a Notice to Proceed identifying the date for commencement of the Work. The commencement date shall be 10 or more days after the date the notice is issued. The Contractor shall achieve substantial completion of the Work within _____________________ (____) calendar days after the commencement date, as such completion date may be extended by approved Change Orders. The time set forth for completion of the Work is an essential element of the Contract.
