Overview of the Position. Working under the direction of the MMI-MHTP Manager, the MMI-MHTP Microscopist will be responsible for a range of activities, including: Provision of specialised imaging support for researchers and students, specifically in the application and development of advanced microscopy, live cell and intravital fluorescence imaging technologies. Technical supervision of research staff and students as needed. Support of research requirements of other research staff and students by providing advice and assistance on experimental approaches of research projects, grant applications, methods, instrument operation and analysis for microscopy and related techniques. Assistance with management of MMI-MHTP instrumentation and imaging laboratories, including day-to-day instrument maintenance, user access and appropriate OHS/QMS. Facilitating access to specialized microscopes that are not available within the facility (located at Monash Xxxxxxx Campus or elsewhere) to researchers as required. Assisting with overseeing repairs and annual servicing in conjunction under the direction of the MMI-MHTP Manager. Technical development, assessment and validation of new imaging instrumentation, scientific methodologies and techniques. Assist with the development and promotion of educational and training materials and programs for staff and students in use of the applications of the technology.

The Biobank Technical Specialist will take responsibility for the acquisition, processing and storage of bio-samples as part of a newly formed program in paediatric cancer precision medicine program at the Xxxxxx Institute of Medical Research and Monash Health campus. Overview of the Position. The Business Development Co-ordinator must have a passion for taking ideas “from bench, to bedside, to business and the community”. The position will work with the Business Development Manager, the CFO and the BD Administration Officer on the following:
(i) Opportunity identification and analysis;
(ii) Intellectual property management;
(iii) Technology marketing and communication;
(iv) Commercial and Licensing Agreements; and
(v) Technology transfer administration. Typical activities for this role include working with innovators at the Institute to: • Assist identification and evaluation of technology transfer opportunities • Draft and refine brief communications of Xxxxxx IP portfolio initiatives for the Xxxxxx website, potential partners, investors and sponsors • Analyse market, business and competitive landscape • Encourage and capture invention disclosures / intellectual property • Assist in analysing intellectual property landscape, patent prior art and potential claims • Prepare funding applications and presentation material • Identify potential collaboration and development partners • Assist in preparation of commercial agreements • Support funding applications where appropriate • Co-ordinate and participate in periodic Laboratory Notebook audits • Identify links and synergies between scientists internally and externally • Maintain administrative support systems including EndpointIQ, Inteum software and spreadsheet records of: o the costs of patent and legal services by asset o all Intellectual Property assets o agreements detailing technology transfer and commercial relationships o relationships with Venture Capital funds • Prepare regular reports: o for the Intellectual Property & Commercialisation Committee o on the costs of patent and legal services by asset o on the Intellectual Property assets of the Institute o of agreements detailing technology transfer and commercial relationships. • Assist with organization and delivery of periodic commercially focused seminars and workshops and other commercialisation / technology transfer education forums.
Overview of the Position. Working under the broad direction of the Monash Micro Imaging (MMI) Scientific Director and MHTP Platform Strategic Initiatives Manager, the MMI-MHTP Node Manager will be responsible for the day- to-day management and operation of the Platform. Typical activities for this role include: Provision of specialised imaging support for researchers and students, specifically in the development and application of advanced microscopy, live cell and intravital fluorescence imaging and related technologies. Supervision of junior technical staff, research staff and students as needed. Support of research requirements of other research staff and students by providing advice and assistance on experimental approaches of research projects, grant applications, methods, instrument operation and analysis for microscopy and related techniques. Responsibility for the management of the MMI-MHTP Imaging laboratories: this includes overseeing day-to-day instrument maintenance, user access and appropriate OHS/QMS. Facilitating access to specialized microscopes that are not available within the facility (located at Monash Xxxxxxx Campus or elsewhere) to researchers as required. Assisting in overseeing repairs and annual servicing in conjunction with the SCS/Xxxxxx and MMI Managers. The position will also oversee the MMI-MHTP Imaging operational budget (maintenance and running expenses) with assistance from the local School Manager/Institute Chief Operating Officer for all aspects of financial reporting. Forward planning with respect to funding applications for infrastructure and user or instrument policy development. Technical development, assessment and validation of new imaging instrumentation, scientific methodologies and techniques. Coordinate the development and promotion of educational and training materials and programs for staff and students in use of the applications of the technology.
Overview of the Position. The Research Project Officer will be responsible for a range of project and administrative activities to assist in the management of ANZCHOG’s clinical trial and research portfolio. This will include working closely with ANZCHOG members to undertake activities relating to obtaining grant funding for ANZCHOG-sponsored trials or research activities, assisting investigators and trial staff to manage awarded grants and provide support to members through the ANZCHOG Group structure to identify and progress research opportunities. This role will work with a range of health professionals, across a range of tumour types and disciplines. The work undertaken may involve administration, research or finance support depending on the need of the organisation and the clinical trial/research projects.
Overview of the Position. The Payroll Co-ordinator is a key member of a small and efficient Finance Team and reports to the CFO. The role exists to provide high quality and professional payroll services including end-to-end payroll, customer service, payroll investigations and works with the Human Resource team on the interpretation of policy, legislation, awards and agreements.

Overview of the Position. The Xxxx Laboratory requires a Senior Technical Assistant to examine multiple aspects of inflammatory diseases in early life and adult disease. The research projects (both clinical human studies and experimental animal studies) examine cytokine treatments in areas of unmet medical need. Typical activities for this role include: You will contribute to the research projects by performing a range of research-related tasks that may include any of the following: Perform experimental methods relevant to immunology and molecular biology, including (but not limited to): cell culture (including maintaining cells lines as well as primary cells and human blood cells), methods of protein detection (e.g. ELISA), methods of nucleic acid
g. DNA/RNA preparation, PCR), animal experiments on mice (e.g. including injections, tissue harvesting and processing). Experience in these techniques is strongly preferred.
