COBRA Continuation. The following provisions are applicable only if the Group is subject to the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA) and any amendments thereto. Please refer to the Group Human Resources Manager or Benefits Manager for details about COBRA, or the applicability of COBRA to this Benefit Plan. What is COBRA continuation coverage? In accordance with COBRA law, the employees and eligible dependents of certain employers may have the opportunity to continue their employer-sponsored healthcare coverage for a limited time, when there is a life event (also known as a “qualifying event”) that would otherwise result in the loss of coverage under the employer’s plan. When a qualifying event causes such loss of coverage, COBRA continuation coverage must be offered to each person who is a “qualified beneficiary.” The Subscriber, the Subscriber’s Spouse and the Subscriber’s dependent children are listed under the law as the qualified beneficiaries. COBRA continuation coverage offers the same coverage that the Plan gives to other participants or beneficiaries who are not receiving continuation coverage. The qualified beneficiary may be required to pay the full cost of the continuation coverage for its entire duration. Do I have other alternatives to COBRA continuation coverage?‌‌ COBRA continuation coverage is not the only alternative Members may have when they lose coverage under this Benefit Plan. There may be other coverage options for You and Your family. For example, You could qualify to buy individual coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace. Losing coverage under this Benefit Plan gives You a special enrollment opportunity in the Marketplace, even when it happens outside of the Marketplace’s open enrollment period. You have sixty (60) days from when You lose coverage under this Benefit Plan to apply for special enrollment through the Marketplace. In the Marketplace, You could be eligible for a new kind of tax credit that lowers Your monthly premiums right away, and You can see what Your premium, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs will be before You make a decision to enroll. Being eligible for COBRA does not limit Your eligibility for coverage or for a tax credit through the Marketplace. However, it is important that You know that if You or any of Your Dependents choose COBRA continuation coverage instead of Marketplace coverage, You will lose the special enrollment opportunity for the Marketplace, and You will not be able to enroll ...

COBRA Continuation. Executive and Executive's covered dependents will be eligible to continue their health care benefit coverage as permitted by COBRA (Internal Revenue Code Section 4980B) at no cost to Executive for the six (6) month period following the date of Executive's Covered Termination; provided, however, that payment of such COBRA premiums by the Company shall cease upon Executive commencing employment with a new employer which provides comparable benefits to Executive and Executive's covered dependents. Nothing in this Section 2.4 is intended to limit the availability of COBRA continuation coverage to Executive (subject to Executive paying all associated premiums and costs) beyond the six (6) month period following the date of Executive's Covered Termination for the remainder of the COBRA continuation of coverage period.
COBRA Continuation. Any benefits provided under this Paragraph 2 following the Employee's termination of employment shall count against the continuation period the Employee is otherwise entitled to under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985, as amended ("COBRA"), or any similar federal or state statute, as a result of the termination of employment.
COBRA Continuation i. Subject to Section 1.b.ii below, the Company will either, at the Company’s election, reimburse Employee for the payments Employee makes, or pay directly to the insurance provider the premiums, for medical, vision and dental coverage for Employee and Employee’s eligible dependents under Title X of the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985, as amended or comparable state law (“COBRA”) during the twelve (12) month period following the Termination Date or until Employee has secured other employment that provides group health insurance coverage, whichever occurs first provided Employee timely elects COBRA coverage, remains eligible for COBRA continuation coverage and, with respect to reimbursements, pays for COBRA coverage.
COBRA Continuation. Lennox agrees to pay COBRA premiums to allow Employee to continue to participate in Lennox group health plan on the same terms as other Lennox employees for up to 18 months while Employee is unemployed and not eligible for other group health insurance coverage. Should Employee remain unemployed at the end of 18 months, the equivalent of the COBRA premium will be paid to the employee on a month-to-month basis for up to six additional months for his or her use in obtaining health insurance coverage outside the group health plan.
COBRA Continuation. Provided the Executive is eligible for and timely elects to continue receiving group medical insurance pursuant to the federal “COBRA” law, 29 U.S.C. § 1161 et seq. and for so long as he does not become eligible for coverage under another group health plan maintained by a subsequent employer, for a period of up to twelve (12) months following the Termination Date, the Company shall pay the share of the premium for family health and family dental coverage that is paid by the Company for active and similarly situated employees who receive the same type of coverage; provided, however, that (i) the Company and the Executive mutually agree that if such payments by the Company would cause the Company to be subject to material tax liability or penalties, the parties will make reasonable efforts to restructure the arrangement consistent with the intent of this provision so as to avoid such adverse tax consequence, and (ii) to the extent such benefits cannot be provided to non-employees, then the Executive will receive the cash equivalent thereof, based on the cost thereof to the Company, paid proportionately over a twelve (12) month period. All other Company benefits will end on the Termination Date.
COBRA Continuation. If Executive properly and timely elects to continue his medical, dental and vision insurance coverage (collectively, "health insurance coverage") under Company's group medical, dental and vision insurance plans (collectively, "Continuation Coverage") pursuant to the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act ("COBRA"), Company shall reimburse Executive for payments made by him for such Continuation Coverage for him and his dependents who qualify for continuation coverage under COBRA for one (1) year following the Separation Date (the "COBRA Pay Period"). If Executive elects to continue COBRA coverage after the end of the COBRA Pay Period, such Continuation Coverage shall be entirely at his own expense. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if, during the COBRA Pay Period, Executive obtains insurance coverage through a new employer or Medicare, the Company shall have no further obligation to pay any portion of the premiums for Continuation Coverage under the Company's group health insurance plans.
COBRA Continuation. Executive and Executive's covered dependents who are enrolled in a health or dental plan sponsored by the Company may be eligible to continue coverage under such health or dental plan (or to convert to an individual policy), at the time of the Executive's termination of employment under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 ("COBRA"). The Company will notify the individual of any such right to continue health coverage at the time of termination. The Company will continue to pay its share of Executive's health insurance premiums until the earlier of: (i) twelve (12) months after the date of termination, or (ii) such time as the Executive becomes eligible to participate in another employer's health insurance plan (the "COBRA Period"); provided that Executive elects to continue coverage under COBRA and timely pays Executive's portion of the premiums. No provision of this Agreement will affect the continuation coverage rules under COBRA, except that the Company's payment of any applicable insurance premiums during the COBRA Period will be credited as payment by Executive for purposes of Executive's payment required under COBRA. Therefore, the period during which Executive must elect to continue the Company's group medical or dental coverage at his or her own expense under COBRA, the length of time during which COBRA coverage will be made available to the Executive, and all other rights and obligations of Executive under COBRA (except the obligation to pay insurance premiums that the Company pays during the COBRA Period) will be applied in the same manner that such rules would apply in the absence of this Agreement.
COBRA Continuation. A terminated employee may be entitled to certain insurance coverage opportunities under the federally mandated COBRA Program.
