Community Workshop. This community workshop is the first of many face-to-face community outreach events scheduled throughout the planning process. The purpose of this first workshop is to allow residents to provide input before any plans or recommendations are formulated. The workshop will: (a) review the purpose of the Comprehensive Plan Update, the planning process to be undertaken, and the schedule for the project; and (b) secure local views on concerns, issues, and potentials within the community. This workshop will be targeted specifically to business owners and managers and Brentwood’s corporate citizens as an important stakeholder group. The purpose is to establish a dialogue and obtain feedback from those members of the business community that have a unique insight and perspective, and whose assistance and involvement is crucial to the Plan’s ultimate success.
Community Workshop. 2: Vacant and Underutilized Sites Assessment. Mintier Harnish will facilitate a virtual community workshop the on results of the vacant and underutilized sites assessment. Mintier Harnish will conduct a webinar to review our methodology, present our findings, describe the implications for rezoning, and layout options. Mintier Harnish will then facilitate a question and answer session and small group breakouts to discuss the siting solutions presented. The on-line workshop will also include a community opinion survey based on the sites assessment to provide an additional opportunity for community input. The webinar and polling will remain on the website for two to three weeks to assure full community participation. Mintier Harnish will summarize the results of the input received.
Community Workshop. A Community Workshop will be conducted to present and discuss the preliminary Downtown Plan, Xxxxx Avenue Corridor Plan, and Sub-Area Framework Plans. The goal of the workshop(s) will be to further refine each alternative and gain broad-based community support for a master plan vision. • Participate in one public workshop. • Workshop participation by CH2M team will require travel for some attendees, cost not included in this estimate. • No additional investigation nor risk development is part of this effort. • No further concept development will be done under this subtask.
Community Workshop. The consultant will plan and execute a community workshop that is geared toward brainstorming ideas and gauging community support and priorities for potential GHG reduction strategies. The exact structure and content of the community workshop will be determined with staff, but based upon the consultant’s experience, X’Xxxxxx & Associates proposes consideration of the following format: • A brief presentation that provides an overview of climate change, State goals and legislation to reduce GHG emissions, the Saratoga community’s GHG emissions (sources and trends), how emissions are expected to rise over time, and the reduction needed to reach State targets. • Individual stations for participants to visit at their own pace, engage in conversation with the consultant, staff, and agency representatives, and record their preferences for potential reduction strategies. Each station would be devoted to one CAP topic area, e.g.: Low Carbon Transportation, Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Waste Reduction, Natural Systems and Sequestration, and Adaptation. Graphic displays would communicate trends and issues related to the CAP topic area, and recording paper will allow participants to select preferred reduction strategies through a dot exercise. TASK 9. PLANNING COMMISSION AND CITY COUNCIL STUDY SESSIONS The consultant will facilitate study sessions with the Planning Commission and City Council to confirm the local GHG reduction target and receive direction on strategies to include in the CAP. The consultant will give a presentation similar to the one provided at the community workshop and summarize community input gathered from the workshop. The consultant will prepare documents containing potential GHG reduction strategies and summarizing community input that can be attached to staff reports.
Community Workshop. The project team will organize a community workshop (we are assuming this will be an online event) including a PowerPoint presentation, discussion and Q&A session. The presentation will include relevant background information on Missing Middle Housing as well as the findings of the MMH study to date, and draft zoning recommendations.
TASK 2 DELIVERABLES: • Approach Memo outlining methodology for analyzing Test Fits and Financial Feasibility • Attend 3 working sessions with City staff on MMH Analysis memo, MMH building type test fits and financial feasibility, and Admin Draft Zonng Districts • Summary sheets of building prototype test fits with simple 3D graphics, and listing key limiting factors to MMH • Financial Feasibility Analysis Memo (draft + final) • Code Framework Memo for new MMH Zoning Districts showing key zone standards and recommendations • Administrative Draft of MMH Zoning Districts for a maximum of two new MMH zones. Should the study reveal the need for a third or additional MMH zones, these could be provided for additional budget • Final Draft of MMH Zoning Districts as a PDF (of Indesign/Word file) updated with City’s comments • Organize and lead a 2-hour virtual Community Workshop [Opticos + Strategic Economics] to present the MMH study findings and recommendations, including preparation of presentation slides and leading a Q&A session. A PDF of the PPT will be provided that can be circulated by City staff as required. Task 3. EIR Addendum In accordance with Section 15164 of the CEQA Guidelines, a lead agency may prepare an addendum to a previously certified EIR if some changes or additions are necessary but none of the conditions described in Section 15162 calling for preparation of a subsequent EIR have occurred. This scope of work assumes that the proposed program would not result in new or substantially increased significant impacts and that, pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15164, an EIR Addendum would be the appropriate level of supplemental CEQA review. However, if a new impact or increase in magnitude of a previous impact, or other significant new information is identified, such that the City of Santa Xxxx determines that an IS-(M)ND, Supplemental EIR or Subsequent EIR is required, Rincon will notify Opticos and City staff immediately to determine the appropriate course of action. This could include preparation of a new scope and cost estimate for the more involved process.
