Conference and Convention. Attendance Leave (Paid): A paid leave may, in the discretion of the District and upon the recommendation of the appropriate division head, be granted annually for attendance at conferences and conventions sponsored by the Union under all of the conditions noted below: a. The attendance leads directly to the professional growth of the employee and the improvement of the work program of the employing division; b. The attendance does not result in unnecessary duplication of participation by District personnel; and c. The attendance does not necessitate the reimbursement of any expenses by the District to the employee. A written or oral report of the conference may be requested by the appropriate administrator. For conferences or conventions which are not permitted pursuant to the above, the District may authorize the employee to utilize personal necessity leave under Section 13.0 of this Article.
Conference and Convention. 5:01 Each employee required to work at a convention/conference/project training session/meeting outside of the office requiring overnight accommodation will be provided with a double room. (a) For attendance at conventions, employees shall receive an expense allowance equal to that of the Directors, plus actual traveling expenses out of Toronto. (b) For attendance at conferences and meetings outside of the office, employees shall receive an expense allowance of $60.00 per day for attendance of more than three (3) hours, and $30.00 per day for attendance of up to three (3) hours. In addition, employees who use their vehicles for attendance at these meetings or conferences shall receive a $10.00 per day travel allowance. 5:03 For OFL conferences (excluding Project training) where support staff assistance is required, the support staff responsible for the pre- registration (99.9% of the time the secretary to the department responsible for the conference) shall attend. In the event additional support assistance is required, it will be determined on a rotating basis starting with the most senior support staff person. Where conference registration exceeds 250, upon request, support staff will be provided with additional assistance. It is understood that the person responsible for the conference will handle a share of the registrations as well as the unpaids. The list of support staff assistance will be posted monthly on the bulletin board indicating the rotation of the employees and the name of the conference they are assisting. 5:04 It is agreed that all employees will attend the Federation’s convention and will be allowed to sit in on the convention for an agreed period of time.

  • Conference Attendance The Federation will be entitled to five (5) person days per year release time for designated Federation representatives to attend conferences. All conference expenses will be the responsibility of the Federation, unless funding is requested and approved through regular District processes for conference attendance.

  • Conference Promptly after the execution of this Contract, Contractor shall confer with the Program Manager, Design Professional, Owner, and Using Agency to identify personnel and relevant organizational charts of each team member, and to establish working relationships with each team member.

  • Conference Leave Upon written request, supported by a copy of an invitation, an employee shall be granted leave paid at full salary of up to two thirty-fifths of their Appointment Contract(s) to present papers at academic conferences.   • Parent-Teacher Conferences A. Unit member shall be available at mutually arranged times during the regular school day to confer with parents regarding learning difficulties, student progress and/or behavioral problems a student may be experiencing. Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable. B.   • Audio Conferencing In lieu of any other rates and discounts, Customer will pay fixed per-minute per bridge rates ranging from $0.0095 to $0.3200 for the following Conferencing Services: Domestic Audio Conferencing: Fixed per-minute rates per participant for domestic Audio Conferencing calls originating and terminating in the U.S. Mainland, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, based on method. Instant Replay Plus: Fixed per-minute per-participant rates for Instant Replay Plus usage using toll free number access and toll number access.

  • PRE-JOB CONFERENCE a) The Employer shall notify the union that a project has been awarded to the Employer following the award. Prior to the start of each project, a pre-job conference shall be held to determine all site-specific issues as outlined in the Agreement. This conference may be conducted via telephone, through a scheduled meeting or by some other practical means as agreed to by the parties. b) A copy of the pre-job conference report shall be provided to the Employer, the Union and the Job Xxxxxxx (s). A copy shall also be posted on the bulletin board(s) at the jobsite.

  • Conference requirement and procedure (i) The Employer, or the Employer’s representative, shall, when requested by the Employees or their Employee Representative/ Union Delegate, confer (within a reasonable period of time which should not exceed 1/2 hour) for the purpose of determining whether or not conditions are inclement. (ii) Provided that if the Employer or the Employers’ representative refuses to confer within such reasonable period, Employees shall be entitled to cease work for the rest of the day and be paid inclement weather.
