Education Incentives. For an individual to earn the total allowable educational incentive, the individual must have registered, earned and obtained it through a nationally recognized institution of education that falls into the following agency:
1. United Sates Department of Education xxxx://xxx.xx.xxx/accreditation/ The same language is applicable for those who submit for an incentive that is “commensurate” with the knowledge and abilities of the job position held. The degree must have been obtained through a nationally recognized institution of education. The submittals must include a sealed official transcript from the accrediting college. Each submittal will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
a. Employees who possess an approved State Fire Marshal Certification or equivalent (such as, but not limited to IFSAC, PRO-BOARD, OES, SCTI, DOD, DOT, CFAI, NWGG & NFA) in certificate programs less than eighty (80) hours shall receive an additional one-half of one percent (.5%) of base pay. Employees who have completed all other certificate programs of eighty (80) hours or more shall receive one percent (1%) of base pay. FF1 and FF2 certifications are excluded from the State Fire Marshal Certification Incentive.
b. Fleet Maintenance employees who complete the requisite course work to be certified as a California Fire Mechanics Association/Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Program Fire Mechanic shall receive an additional one percent (1%) base pay.
c. In addition, Fleet Maintenance employees who complete the requisite course work to be certified as a California Fire Mechanics Association/EVT Program Fire Mechanic II shall receive an additional one percent (1%) of base pay.
d. Also, Fleet Maintenance employees who complete the requisite course work to be certified as a California Fire Mechanics Association/EVT Program Fire Mechanic III shall receive an additional one percent (1%) of base bay.
e. Fleet Maintenance employees who complete ASE certificates, other than those required to obtain the California Fire Mechanics Association/EVT Program Fire Mechanic I, II and III shall receive one-half of one percent (.5%) of base pay.
f. Employees who possess a certificate in Fire Science or Fire Technology from a Community College shall receive three percent (3%) of base pay.
g. Employees who possess one or more Associate Degrees shall receive a total of three and one-half percent (3.5%) of base pay for the degree(s). Multiple degrees will not result in more than 3.5%.

Education Incentives. Effective with the pay period that includes July 1, 2005, each full time permanent employee at the rank of Trooper or higher shall be eligible to receive a five hundred dollar ($500.00) lump sum payment upon submitting adequate documentation of having received a Bachelor of Arts degree in a job-related discipline from an accredited institution of higher learning. The State and the Union shall work with the constituent units of higher education in an effort to develop a job-related degree program for bargaining unit members and to facilitate their participation in Bachelor of Arts courses.
Education Incentives. Each non-probationary employee who possesses or achieves an Intermediate Certificate from DPSST or an Associate's degree or its equivalent (accredited college hours) shall receive four percent (4%) per month in addition to his/her regular salary. Each non-probationary employee who possesses or achieves either an Advanced Certificate from DPSST or a Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) shall receive seven percent (7%) per month in addition to his/her regular salary. Each non-probationary employee who possesses and achieves both an Advanced Certificate from DPSST and a Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) shall receive nine percent (9%) per month in addition to his/her regular salary. For the purpose of this section, lateral hires in the positions of Patrol Deputy and Corrections Deputy may be eligible to receive education/certification incentives in the first full month of employment.
Education Incentives. The following incentives are available to employees within this bargaining unit. Those employees who are required through their job description to maintain a listed degree are not eligible for that incentive.
1. Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university: 1.5%
2. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university: 3%
3. Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university: 3% The maximum incentive pay an employee can receive for the qualified degree is 3%.
Education Incentives. All employees of the bargaining unit who have been awarded Fire Science or Public Administration Degrees shall receive incentive pay within the first pay period of July of each year in accordance with the following provisions: Compensation for an eligible Associates Degree - Five percent of base salary. Compensation for an eligible Bachelor's Degree - Seven and one half percent of base salary. Compensation for an eligible Master’s Degree - Twelve and one half percent of base salary. Further, employees may participate in a continuing education program in either a Fire Science or Public Administration degree program. Interested employees shall notify the Chief prior to the end of November for the upcoming fiscal year to procure funding. After satisfactory completion, grade C or better, the employee will receive reimbursement within a reasonable amount of time from the Town upon receipt of course credit and submission of an expense voucher for tuition, laboratory costs and books. The Maximum allowable education aid for each employee per contract year shall not exceed $1,500. There is no reimbursement for time spent during the course, mileage, or other expenses. The employee will provide a best guess estimate as to cost.
Education Incentives. Full-time employees completing an associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree will receive an incentive, provided the quality of the employee’s work is satisfactory and further provided that advance management approval of the educational program is granted. Eligible employees will receive a lump-sum payment of $2,500, subject to the terms of the applicable service agreement as provided in TVA’s Tuition Reimbursement program.
Education Incentives. Section 31.1 Bargaining Unit members whom have completed two years continuous City of Hillsboro service shall receive for professional law enforcement related training and education the following education incentives: CLASS I 350 hrs of advanced training. For dispatchers completion of 911 training or APCO Training. CLASS II Associates Degree or 700 hrs of advanced training CLASS III Bachelor’s Degree or 1000 or more hrs of advanced Training Immediately upon qualifying as defined in Section 31.1, employees shall be paid the appropriate base rate of pay as defined in Article16 Wages.
Education Incentives i. Associate Degree from an accredited college or university 1.5%
ii. Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited college or university 3% The above incentive pay only applies to those employees who have degrees that exceed the minimum qualifications, or the desirable qualifications listed in the job description for the position. (For example, the Assistant Planner would not be eligible for this incentive pay since the position requires a Bachelors’ Degree.)
Education Incentives. Section 1. The Board of Education will reimburse bargaining unit members for tuition (up to $100.00 per course) for successfully completed (grade B or higher) work- related course given by state approved college level educational institutions. For reimbursement, the course must be pre-approved by the Board or its designee prior to registration by the classroom assistant. The decision of the Board or its designee shall not be subject to the grievance procedure.
Education Incentives. In addition to the wage rates established by this agreement, the Employer shall pay additional pay for successful completion of degrees/certificates offered in Fire Science, Emergency Medicine, Management, Safety, Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, Building Trades, Mechanics & Engines, and job/position related degrees. See Article 13.2.4 for details.
