Course Instructors. 18:01 Xxxx 0 Course Instructors shall receive the same TA support as other current instructors in the undergraduate teaching unit in which the work is performed. 18:02 First time Xxxx 0 Course Instructors shall receive six (6) hours of training paid at the SGSII rate. Training may include matters such as course organization; teaching skills; supervision of teaching assistants; in-class conflict resolution & safety; procedures for addressing academic integrity; Blackboard and any other technology required for the performance of their assigned duties. 18:03 Course Instructors shall be remunerated for additional work required to be performed arising directly out of an appointment under this Collective Agreement and which is required to take place following the normal ending date of the appointment, including marking deferred examinations or assignments or providing information regarding allegations of academic offences by student(s) to disciplinary reviews, hearings or tribunals. Remuneration will be on an hourly basis at the SGSII rate for no less than one (1) hour, with the hours to be determined and agreed upon by the employee and her/his supervisor in advance of the hours being worked, based on divisional practices and with the approval of the Department Chair. In the event that the additional work in regard to academic offences exceeds the agreed-upon hours due to unforeseen circumstances, the employee and the Chair shall, by mutual agreement, revise the allocation of hours accordingly. 18:04 Each hiring unit shall provide a resource sheet to each Course Instructor together with the letter of offer. This sheet shall include information concerning teaching resources and procedures within the hiring unit including, but not necessarily limited to: ordering of books, expensing of printing/photocopying and other costs incurred in teaching, booking of rooms, booking of additional classroom and equipment media, and gaining access to technical support. This resource sheet should be reviewed annually and updated as necessary.
Course Instructors. The Parties agree that for Employment Insurance Purposes only, a Course Instructor for a full course will be deemed to have worked four hundred sixty (460) hours, and a Course Instructor for a half course will be deemed to have worked two hundred thirty (230) hours.   • Course Curriculum, Instruction, and Grading X. Xxxx College courses offered as dual credit, regardless of where they are taught, follow the same syllabus, course outline, textbook, grading method, and other academic policies as the courses outlined in the Hill College catalog. B. Approved courses being taught for dual credit must follow the approved master syllabus of the discipline and of Hill College. C. Textbooks should be identical to those approved for use by Hill College. Should an instructor propose an alternative textbook, the textbook must be approved in advance by the appropriate instructional department of Hill College and the Vice President of Instruction. Other instructional materials for dual credit/concurrent courses must be identical or at an equivalent level to materials used by Hill College. D. Courses which result in college‐level credit will follow the standard grading practices of Hill College, as identified by college policy and as identified in the appropriately approved course syllabus. The grades used in college records are A (excellent), B (above average), C (average), D (below average), F (failure), I (incomplete), W (withdrawn), WC (withdrawn COVID). The lowest passing grade is D. Grade point averages are computed by assigning values to each grade as follows: A = 4 points, B = 3 points, C = 2 points, D = 1 point, and F = 0 points. Grading criteria may be devised by Hill College and the ISD to allow faculty the opportunity to award high school credit only or high school and college credit depending upon student performance. E. Faculty, who are responsible for teaching dual credit/concurrent classes, are responsible for keeping appropriate records, certifying census date rosters, providing interim grade reports, certifying final grade reports at the end of the semester, certifying attendance, and providing other reports and information as may be required by Hill College and/or the School District.

  • NO HARDSTOP/PASSIVE LICENSE MONITORING Unless an Authorized User is otherwise specifically advised to the contrary in writing at the time of order and prior to purchase, Contractor hereby warrants and represents that the Product and all Upgrades do not and will not contain any computer code that would disable the Product or Upgrades or impair in any way its operation based on the elapsing of a period of time, exceeding an authorized number of copies, advancement to a particular date or other numeral, or other similar self-destruct mechanisms (sometimes referred to as “time bombs,” “time locks,” or “drop dead” devices) or that would permit Contractor to access the Product to cause such disablement or impairment (sometimes referred to as a “trap door” device). Contractor agrees that in the event of a breach or alleged breach of this provision that Authorized User shall not have an adequate remedy at law, including monetary damages, and that Authorized User shall consequently be entitled to seek a temporary restraining order, injunction, or other form of equitable relief against the continuance of such breach, in addition to any and all remedies to which Authorized User shall be entitled.

  • Permitted License Transfers As Licensee’s business operations may be altered, expanded or diminished, licenses granted hereunder may be transferred or combined for use at an alternative or consolidated site not originally specified in the license, including transfers between Agencies (“permitted license transfers”). Licensee(s) do not have to obtain the approval of Contractor for permitted license transfers, but must give thirty (30) days prior written notice to Contractor of such move(s) and certify in writing that the Product is not in use at the prior site. There shall be no additional license or other transfer fees due Contractor, provided that: i) the maximum capacity of the consolidated machine is equal to the combined individual license capacity of all licenses running at the consolidated or transferred site (e.g., named users, seats, or MIPS); or ii) if the maximum capacity of the consolidated machine is greater than the individual license capacity being transferred, a logical or physical partition or other means of restricting access will be maintained within the computer system so as to restrict use and access to the Product to that unit of licensed capacity solely dedicated to beneficial use for Licensee. In the event that the maximum capacity of the consolidated machine is greater than the combined individual license capacity of all licenses running at the consolidated or transferred site, and a logical or physical partition or other means of restricting use is not available, the fees due Contractor shall not exceed the fees otherwise payable for a single license for the upgrade capacity.

  • COURSE INFORMATION AND FEES 1.1 The PEI will deliver the Course as set out in Schedule A to the Student, towards conferment of the stated qualification upon successful Course completion. 1.2 The PEI confirms that the Course has been permitted by the Council for Private Education (CPE) and no amendments have been made to the Course as set out in Schedule A, unless otherwise permitted by CPE. 1.3 The Course Fees payable are set out in Schedule B and the optional Miscellaneous Fees in Schedule C. 1.4 The PEI considers payment made 7 days after the scheduled due date(s) in Schedule B as late. The PEI will explain to the Student its policy for late payment of Course Fees, including any late payment fee charged in Schedule C (if applicable) and any impact on Course/module completion (if applicable).

  • Permitted and Required Uses/Disclosures of PHI 3.1 Except as limited in this Agreement, Business Associate may use or disclose PHI to perform Services, as specified in the underlying grant or contract with Covered Entity. The uses and disclosures of Business Associate are limited to the minimum necessary, to complete the tasks or to provide the services associated with the terms of the underlying agreement. Business Associate shall not use or disclose PHI in any manner that would constitute a violation of the Privacy Rule if used or disclosed by Covered Entity in that manner. Business Associate may not use or disclose PHI other than as permitted or required by this Agreement or as Required by Law. 3.2 Business Associate may make PHI available to its employees who need access to perform Services provided that Business Associate makes such employees aware of the use and disclosure restrictions in this Agreement and binds them to comply with such restrictions. Business Associate may only disclose PHI for the purposes authorized by this Agreement: (a) to its agents and Subcontractors in accordance with Sections 9 and 17 or, (b) as otherwise permitted by Section 3. 3.3 Business Associate shall be directly liable under HIPAA for impermissible uses and disclosures of the PHI it handles on behalf of Covered Entity, and for impermissible uses and disclosures, by Business Associate’s Subcontractor(s), of the PHI that Business Associate handles on behalf of Covered Entity and that it passes on to Subcontractors.

  • Abnormally High Tenders 36.4 An abnormally high price is one where the tender price, in combination with other constituent elements of the Tender, appears unreasonably too high to the extent that the Procuring Entity is concerned that it (the Procuring Entity) may not be getting value for money or it may be paying too high a price for the contract compared with market prices or that genuine competition between Tenderers is compromised. 36.5 In case of an abnormally high tender price, the Procuring Entity shall make a survey of the market prices, check if the estimated cost of the contract is correct and review the Tender Documents to check if the specifications, scope of work and conditions of contract are contributory to the abnormally high tenders. The Procuring Entity may also seek written clarification from the tenderer on the reason for the high tender price. The Procuring Entity shall proceed as follows: i) If the tender price is abnormally high based on wrong estimated cost of the contract, the Procuring Entity may accept or not accept the tender depending on the Procuring Entity's budget considerations. ii) If specifications, scope of work and/or conditions of contract are contributory to the abnormally high tender prices, the Procuring Entity shall reject all tenders and may retender for the contract based on revised estimates, specifications, scope of work and conditions of contract, as the case may be. 36.6 If the Procuring Entity determines that the Tender Price is abnormally too high because genuine competition between tenderers is compromised (often due to collusion, corruption or other manipulations), the Procuring Entity shall reject all Tenders and shall institute or cause relevant Government Agencies to institute an investigation on the cause of the compromise, before retendering.
