COURT APPEARANCES/JURY DUTY. 2.1 The IBEW concurs with the existing City policy which provides that no deduction shall be made from the salary of an employee while on jury duty.
COURT APPEARANCES/JURY DUTY. The Board shall provide a substitute teacher and pay the regular salary of any teacher who is summoned for jury duty service or subpoenaed for court appearance. (Amended 2012)
COURT APPEARANCES/JURY DUTY. 1 Any employee who shall have been required to attend a court of law by reason of having been served with a subpoena shall be excused from work without loss of pay for one (1) day due to attendance at court, provided the said subpoena is filed with the Superintendent within three (3) workdays from the date of absence.
COURT APPEARANCES/JURY DUTY. A. Jury Duty Municipal employees shall not lose regular employment pay or time while serving on jury duty. Employees shall continue on full pay with the provision that all compensation received for jury duty be remitted to the City.

An employee summonsed for jury duty or to serve as a witness in a court case which necessitates absence from assigned duties shall be paid the difference between the compensation for such service and his regular compensation. Such employee shall report for his regular duties when he has completed the duty for which he was summonsed unless it is impossible to do so.

An employee who is required to serve on jury duty or receives a subpoena to serve as a witness during his/her workday shall receive his/her full salary without loss of sick leave or personal leave. An employee missing work for jury duty or a court appearance for a subpoena must provide evidence of attendance.
COURT APPEARANCES/JURY DUTY. An employee may be granted jury duty with pay and should inquire about the duration of the jury trial in advance of accepting such service. Employees who are summoned for service as grand or petit jurors are required to provide the Borough Administrator with a copy of the summons immediately upon receipt. An employee required to serve jury duty shall be paid their regular rate of pay by the Borough. Compensation, excluding travel monies, the employee receives as a juror shall be turned over to the Borough.
COURT APPEARANCES/JURY DUTY. “J” code) In the event an Administrator is summoned to serve as a juror, or is named as a co-defendant with the District, or receives a subpoena as a result of employment with the District, such Administrator shall receive a normal day’s pay for each day of required presence, less payroll deduction of ten dollars ($10.00) or the current rate per day for jury service in the county, or forty dollars ($40.00) or the current rate per day, for jury service in federal court. Any compensation received for such service shall be kept by the Administrator. In the event that an Administrator is released from jury duty prior to the conclusion of their normal daily work hours, the Administrator will be expected to return to their school for the remainder of the day.

Any employee covered by this Agreement who is absent from work because of jury duty, upon proper evidence of the same being presented to the Administrator, shall receive full-time pay for said jury duty, minus any compensation received for said jury service, except for travel expenses.
