COURT APPEARANCES/JURY DUTY. 2.1. The IBEW Local 1245 concurs with the existing City policy which provides that no deduction shall be made from the salary of an employee while on jury duty.
2.2. If an employee covered by this agreement is required by subpoena to appear in court or to give a deposition as a result of an action taken within the scope of employment with the City, that employee will receive his/her full pay while so doing with no loss of time if he/she is on regular duty. If the employee is not on duty, the City agrees to compensate that employee at one and one-half time his/her regular pay for the time spent in any appearance as required by this article. As a prerequisite for payment to off-duty employees, the Electric Utility Director or his/her designee must be notified in writing of the off-duty appearance within seventy-two hours after the employee is subpoenaed or otherwise notified of the required court appearance.
2.3. Voluntary grand jury service such as that service in San Xxxxxxx County is not covered by Jury Duty leave.
2.4. Swing and Graveyard Shift employees called in for jury duty for a second consecutive day will be reassigned to the Day Shift, Monday through Friday for the remainder of the jury duty.
COURT APPEARANCES/JURY DUTY. 1 Any employee who shall have been required to attend a court of law by reason of having been served with a subpoena shall be excused from work without loss of pay for one (1) day due to attendance at court, provided the said subpoena is filed with the Superintendent within three (3) workdays from the date of absence.
COURT APPEARANCES/JURY DUTY. An employee may be granted jury duty with pay and should inquire about the duration of the jury trial in advance of accepting such service. Employees who are summoned for service as grand or petit jurors are required to provide the Borough Administrator with a copy of the summons immediately upon receipt. An employee required to serve jury duty shall be paid their regular rate of pay by the Borough. Compensation, excluding travel monies, the employee receives as a juror shall be turned over to the Borough.

COURT APPEARANCES/JURY DUTY. An employee summonsed for jury duty or to serve as a witness in a court case which necessitates absence from assigned duties shall be paid the difference between the compensation for such service and his regular compensation. Such employee shall report for his regular duties when he has completed the duty for which he was summonsed unless it is impossible to do so.

14.8.2 - Unit members on swing or graveyard shift who are required to serve on jury duty shall not be required to report to their shift on that particular day after first notifying their immediate supervisor.
14.8.3 - Unit members shall present verification of time spent in accordance with the circumstances set forth in subsections 14.8.1 and 14.8.2 to the immediate supervisor upon returning to work. The verification shall be from an official of the court and will be attached to the unit member's time exception report.

B. Subpoenaed Appearances for Cases Not Arising out of City Employment The City will pay up to eight (8) hours of regular straight time pay per calendar year should an employee be subpoenaed to appear in court on a regularly scheduled work shift.
