Department Responsibility. 1) Each Department Head shall develop and maintain a list of employees whom he anticipates will be needed to work during such emergencies, either in their usual capacities or in some special capacity related to such an emergency.
2) Employees included on such lists are to be notified by the Department Head of this determination and shall provide to the Department Head a telephone number at which they can be reached in the event they must be called into work during such an emergency.
3) A declaration of an emergency situation by the Mayor or the Chief Administrative Officer shall not be construed as an order closing down City offices and operations. Each Department Head shall be responsible for determining which services of the Department are essential and are to be carried on during an emergency. The Department Head shall have the power and responsibility to determine which employees are needed to perform special duties outside the scope of their usual functions. To this end, employees may be assigned by the Department Head to work in locations and capacities outside of their usual working assignments.
4) When an emergency is declared, the Department Head will be responsible for contacting those individuals that will be required to report to work. Any employee included on the emergency employee list who is called upon to work during an emergency and who is unavailable without satisfactory explanation may be docked pay if called in within the hours of his/her normal work day and/or subject to appropriate disciplinary action.
Department Responsibility. The department has final authority over approving quality acceptability of service deliverables. The department reserves the right to renegotiate or terminate this contract if the performance standards are not satisfactorily met. The department shall facilitate review of QAPP, other deliverables, and reports. Department staff shall also perform one contract monitoring evaluation to demonstrate that the terms of the contract are met.
Department Responsibility a. The Department shall give the MCO query access to certain data in the CARES mainframe computer system and the CARES Worker Web system. The types of data to which the MCO shall have access in CARES are data used to determine a member’s eligibility to receive Medicaid and remain enrolled in an MCO and data used to help a member understand and/or meet any financial or other type of obligation that he/she is required to meet in order to remain eligible to receive Medicaid. These types of data include:
i. Data used to calculate a member’s initial room and board expense when the member first enrolls in the MCO or data used to calculate any change in this expense after the member enrolls;
ii. Data used to calculate a member’s medical and remedial expenses, cost share, or any similar financial expense or obligation or data used to calculate any changes in these expenses or obligations; and
iii. Data used to help a member complete his/her annual Medicaid eligibility review.
b. The Department shall designate a data xxxxxxx for providing the MCO with access to CARES data who shall be responsible for:
i. Approving or denying requests from the MCO asking that staff be given access to CARES;
ii. Working with staff in the Department’s systems security unit to develop, implement, and/or monitor the procedures for providing MCO staff with access to data found in CARES; and
iii. Coordinating any other CARES data exchange requests between the Department and the MCO for data that it is unable to obtain using the limited access to CARES under this contract. The Department has sole discretion as to whether to grant such requests. The MCO may be required to reimburse the Department for the costs incurred in obtaining this data for the MCO.
Department Responsibility. The Department will provide technical administration of the contract, review actual test methods and procedures, review test results and reports, review invoice submittals, and generally determine compliance with this contract.
Department Responsibility. A. The Area CSD shall give adequate notice to the Clinical Unit of the student assignment for clinical education.
B. The Area CSD shall reserve the right to revise any student assignment prior to the student’s entry in to the Clinical Unit’s Clinical Education Program.
C. The Area CSD shall provide the student evaluation forms and other forms necessary for the clinical education program.
D. The Area CSD reserves the right to withdraw a student from an assigned clinical education experience at the Clinical Unit when, in the Area CSD’s judgment, the clinical experience does not meet the needs of the student.
E. The Area CSD shall provide the Clinical Unit with opportunities to participate in conferences and programs conducted by the Alabama A&M University Program of Communicative Sciences and Disorders which are related to Speech-Language Pathology.
Department Responsibility. Department Heads have the responsibility for the management of this Policy in their departments and for developing department specific policy identifying appropriate Users and appropriate use of these technology systems given the business and role of the department. Departments have the responsibility to ensure that their department or program specific web sites and social media sites meet current County issued guidelines and protocols, including record retention obligations.
2.6.1 Vendors must comply with Placer County security standards and it is the responsibility of the department involved to monitor this compliance.
2.6.2 Security vulnerabilities and suspicious or illicit use of information technologies should be reported to your immediate supervisor or the Information Technology Service Desk.
2.6.3 Only authorized staff should maintain, move or modify County network systems and components.
2.6.4 If removable media devices are used, they must be scanned with an antivirus solution when plugged into the Placer County network.
2.6.5 Licensing requirements and copyright laws must be adhered to.

2.6.7 Security lifecycle practices must be practiced in all development cycles.
2.6.8 Per the Information Security Program Charter, data sensitivity is established by the department owning the information. All sensitive or confidential data must be protected in transit and when stored.
2.6.9 Applications should employ Single Sign On technology.
2.6.10 Business critical systems and data must be backed up with periodically validated processes.

4) When an emergency is declared, the Department Head will be responsible for contacting those individuals that will be required to report to work. Any member of the department who commits an offense contrary to law or violates the rules and policies of the department, who is incompetent to perform duty as a member of this department, or demonstrates unsuitability for further service is subject to appropriate disciplinary action.
Department Responsibility. It shall be the responsibility of the Department to research, develop, implement, and enforce an occupational safety and health program that recognizes and reduces the inherent risks involved in the operations of the Department.

It is important to understand that a conflict of interest is to be avoided whether it is one that is real or apparent. An apparent conflict may undermine public trust in the integrity of the procurement process.
