Such requests shall be responded to within five (5) calendar days of the request. Exceptional circumstances may be considered by the Employer for requests submitted with less than 10 days written notice. Float days not taken within the calendar year, will be paid out to the nurse in January of each year. (a) A nurse who is required to work on any designated holiday listed above (excluding floats) shall be paid at time and one-half (1 ½) her regular straight time hourly rate of pay for all time worked on such holiday. (b) A full-time nurse will be entitled to a designated holiday off with pay or, if she has worked on a holiday, a lieu day off with pay provided: i) She works her scheduled work day on each of the scheduled working days immediately preceding and following the actual holiday.

Float days, not taken within the calendar year, will be paid out to the employee in January of each year. In the event the Provincial Government declares an additional holiday (such as Heritage Day) during the term of this Agreement, such holiday may be substituted for one of the above-mentioned holidays. The designation of the additional holiday for an existing holiday shall not add to the present number of holidays.

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential and Cost of Living Adjustment, if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.

  • Designated Holidays A part-time employee shall not be paid for the designated holidays but shall, instead be paid four decimal two five percent (4.25%) for all straight-time hours worked.

  • Full-Time Only During the year of the leave, seniority shall continue to accumulate. Service for the purposes of vacation and salary progression and other benefits will be retained but will not accumulate during the period of the leave.

  • Regular Full-Time Employees A regular full-time employee is one who works full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular full-time employees accumulate seniority and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement.

  • Observed Holidays The following days shall be observed as paid holidays for all eligible employees:

  • Weekdays All work performed outside of the designated shift Monday through Friday shall be paid at time and one-half (1-1/2) the straight-time hourly wage rate.

  • Full-Time Employees A full-time employee is one engaged as such and whose ordinary hours of work average 38-hours per week.

  • Named Holidays 18.01 (a) Regular and Temporary Full-time Employees shall be eligible to receive a day off with pay on or for the following Named Holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Alberta Family Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Remembrance Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day August Civic Holiday and any day proclaimed to be a holiday by: (i) The Government of the Province of Alberta; or (ii) The Government of Canada. Further, any one (1) day proclaimed by the government of the municipality to

  • Regular Full-Time Employee A regular, full-time employee is one who is scheduled to work a minimum of forty (40) hours per week, on a regular basis.

  • Full-Time Nurse is a Nurse who is hired to a position on a regular or temporary basis to work the work period described in Article 7.00 of this Agreement.
