Lesson plans identify focus students, language objectives and necessary scaffolds to support individual students. Students access material in small groups, whole group and individual settings. Often, grade level leaders may group students in homogeneous classes to facilitate targeted intervention. At other times, grade level leaders may feel heterogeneous classes will better facilitate student-to-student tutoring.
