Driver Education. A. Summer driver education classroom teacher and coordinator of program will be paid thirty dollars ($30.00) per hour of classroom instruction. Summer driver education driving instructors will be paid twenty-five ($25.00) per hour of driving time.

Driver EducationBehind The Wheel Driver Education may be offered outside the regular school day or on Saturday, at the summer school rate of pay on a voluntary basis following Article V or this agreement. This program will be eliminated before any consideration is given to eliminating the regular school day program.
Driver Education. A. Sections 3.01 and 3.03 are applicable for the Driver Education Program conducted by the Xxxxxx Public Schools. B. The Board and the Association recognize that when vacancies occur and no certified and qualified BEA member applies, this vacancy may be filled on a temporary basis until the end of the program by a person other than a BEA member. When a person other than a BEA member is hired for a position on a temporary basis, this assignment will be declared vacant at the end of that particular program, thus offering an opportunity for all BEA members to apply. As long as non-bargaining unit personnel are assigned to these positions, this procedure will be repeated annually. Current bargaining unit members do not have to reapply.
Driver EducationThe District is authorized to use non-bargaining unit employees to provide driver education for District students; provided, however, that any contractor retained to provide such education shall be required as part of the agreement between the District and the contractor to grant bargaining unit members the right of first refusal to teach any theory or classwork and to schedule same at times other than during the regular school day.

Driver Education. 1. Priority for employment of Driver Education instructors shall be given to Battle Creek teachers. In the event enough Battle Creek Teachers do not apply, the Board may hire teachers from outside the system. 2. Teachers shall be paid for the 4th of July if it falls during the work week. 3. This will be determined by summer seniority. Teachers will be given five (5) minutes of preparation time for each 1.5 hours of employment. Compensation for summer driver training will be paid on an hourly basis. The following rate of pay will apply: the xxxxxxx for the term of this Agreement will be $38.13.
