EDUCATIONAL UPGRADING. The Employer acknowledges the desire of employees to obtain or upgrade educational qualifications. Subject to the operational needs of the Home and notwithstanding Article 2.04, the employee and Employer will discuss flexible hours of work to allow the employee to attend approved educational sessions. Such agreements shall be in writing.

EDUCATIONAL UPGRADING. The Employer shall pay the tuition cost for a previously-approved job-related upgrading course following receipt of evidence of successful completion of the course. Two months advance notice, in writing, shall be given, outlining the details of the course. All such courses are subject to the prior approval of the General Manager, Long-Term Care.
EDUCATIONAL UPGRADING. Where an employee undertakes to upgrade his educational level in English, Math and Science (Chemistry or Physics focused) to either Grade 10 or Grade 12 on his own time the Company shall assist in the following manner: The Company shall arrange for the employee to be tested to determine his present educational level. The results of the test shall set the employee's "base" level. The employee who then embarks on educational upgrading on his own time in a program acceptable to the Company will be paid one -half hour of wages at his basic hourly rate for each hour spent in attendanc e receiving instruction in English, Math and Science to a maximum of 30 hours of instruction for successfully obtaining each grade level for each of English, Math and Science. Employees shall be entitled to a lifetime maximum of instruction time reimbursement to be determined by multiplying their full years of seniority by five hours. Time paid is not considered as time worked for the purposes of the Collective Agreement. The employee shall provide evidence of attendance in a manner acceptable to the Company.
EDUCATIONAL UPGRADING. (a) Where an employee completes a job related night school educational course as approved in advance by the Employer, the Employer will reimburse one hundred percent (100%) of the cost of this course to the employee. (b) When an employee registers in a job related educational certificate program as approved in advance by the Employer, the Employer upon registration will reimburse one hundred percent (100%) of the cost of each course to the employee. (c) When the Employer requests an employee to attend a job related educational course, the Employer will pay one hundred percent (100%) of the cost upon registration. (d) The Employer further agrees that where such educational leave as detailed in (b) or (c) above is granted during normal working hours, the leave shall be without loss of wages or benefits. (e) In the event any employee attends an educational course as specified in (c) above, and that day is other than a regular working day, then a compensating day off with pay shall be granted and taken by the employee immediately preceding or succeeding the day of attendance at such course, or at such other time as is mutually agreed upon between the Employer and the employee.

  • Education Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

  • Monitoring In each case in which the Foreign Custody Manager maintains Foreign Assets with an Eligible Foreign Custodian selected by the Foreign Custody Manager, the Foreign Custody Manager shall establish a system to monitor (i) the appropriateness of maintaining the Foreign Assets with such Eligible Foreign Custodian and (ii) the contract governing the custody arrangements established by the Foreign Custody Manager with the Eligible Foreign Custodian. In the event the Foreign Custody Manager determines that the custody arrangements with an Eligible Foreign Custodian it has selected are no longer appropriate, the Foreign Custody Manager shall notify the Board in accordance with Section 3.2.5 hereunder.
