EMT Pay. Section 1 Each employee of the Police Department having been certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) shall be paid Three Hundred and Sixty-Four Dollars ($364.00) annually on a prorated basis on or about December 15th of each year.

EMT Pay. 1. Certification as an EMT is a condition of employment for all employees. 2. Effective July 10, 2017, EMT pay in the amount of 4% of base pay was incorporated into the base hourly rate of pay for all classifications and eliminated as a premium pay.

EMT Pay. EMT pay will total $1500 per year. EMT pay in the amount of $1000 per calendar year shall be added to the base salary of all firefighters certified at the EMT level. The remaining $500 per year per certified firefighter shall be added to the retiree health insurance fund as described in Exhibit A.

EMT Pay. Any Bargaining Unit Employee, excluding Shop Personnel, who obtains and maintains EMT-D Certification shall receive a lump sum payment on the first pay in December of each year equal to one- half percent (0.5%) of his base annual wage. Any Bargaining Unit Employee, excluding Shop Personnel, who obtains and maintains EMT-I Certification shall receive a lump sum payment on the first pay in December of each year equal to one and one quarter percent (1.25%) of his base annual wage effective March 1, 2014. Any Bargaining Unit Employee, excluding Shop Personnel, who obtains and maintains EMT-P Certification shall receive a lump sum payment on the first pay in December of each year equal to three percent (3%) of his base annual wage. Said lump sum payment shall be prorated for employees who obtain EMT-D or EMT-I/P certification after the beginning of the calendar year. The Employer shall determine the timing and manner of training pursuant to provisions of the contract; provided that it is understood that said training shall be provided to all bargaining unit employees as soon as operationally feasible. This payment is contingent upon the Fire Department providing paramedic level of service pursuant to 14.2. The paramedic program will not be implemented until after March 1, 2014, to allow for training updates.
