Engagement Strategy. Given the great economic and societal importance of the Pacific halibut fishery for Alaska and the West Coast of the US, the IPHC has a long history of working together with communities and stakeholders. On an annual basis, contacts between communities and stakeholders and the IPHC take place formally in the framework of advisory bodies to the IPHC that include the Conference Board, the Processors Advisory Group, the Management Strategy Advisory Board and the Research Advisory Board. In addition to these meetings where communities and stakeholders discuss with IPHC scientists key aspects of the Pacific halibut fishery and biology, the IPHC interacts locally with communities and stakeholders during the fishing season in ports throughout Alaska that host IPHC field staff. For the purpose of the proposed project, the research plans and results related to our proposed studies on Pacific halibut stock structure and distribution, as assessed by assigning individuals to populations of origin, will be formally presented to IPHC's advisory bodies and feed- back and comment will be requested. Reports on the presentation and discussion of the proposed research to the community and stakeholders will be produced and made publicly available in the IPHC website (xxxxx://xxx.xxxx.xxx). In addition, results of the proposed project with be presented to the general public in simple and easy to understand posters in IPHC-attended events such as ComFish Alaska, Pacific Marine Expo and Fisherman’s Fall Festival in Seattle, WA, and through local newspaper and radio medias (particularly in Pribilof and western Aleutian Islands). It is noteworthy that the present proposal has received formal support from stakeholder groups in St. Xxxx, AK in the Pribilof Island area (Central Bering Sea Fishermen's Association), in Adak, AK in the Western Aleutian Island area (Adak Community Development Corporation and the City of Adak) and in the northwest California area (Humboldt Area Saltwater Anglers) that are invested in the Pacific halibut resource and that have direct and explicit interest in the results of the proposed study (see attached letters of support). Dissemination and outreach activities will be particularly directed to those areas in the form of news releases and presentations to stakeholder groups, including a presentation to the City council of Adak on the implications of the proposed research for Pacific halibut management in that area and a presentation in St. Xxxx, AK on the...

Engagement Strategy. B&N will prepare an Engagement Strategy document detailing planned public and stakeholder engagement activities including scheduling details and identifying responsible parties. This task assumes that B&N will develop the content for the public meeting advertisements and that BMCMPO will be responsible for distributing the news releases/legal notices to the local media and on the BMCMPO website. This task also assumes that the consultant team will document advertisement, content, and feedback from each outreach activity.

  • Professional Development Program (a) The parties agree to continue a Professional Development Program for the maintenance and development of the faculty members' professional competence and effectiveness. It is agreed that maintenance of currency of subject knowledge, the improvement of performance of faculty duties, and the maintenance and improvement of professional competence, including instructional skills, are the primary professional development activities of faculty members.

  • Program Manager Owner may designate a Program Manager to administer the Project and this Contract. In lieu of a Program Manager, Design Professional may be designated to perform the role of Program Manager. The Program Manager may also be designated as the Owner’s Representative, and if no Owner’s Representative is designated, the Program Manager shall be the Owner’s Representative.

  • EMPLOYMENT STABILITY 28.01 A The parties hereto subscribe to certain objectives and principles as follows:

  • Continuing Professional Development The Official Agency shall provide appropriate training for staff performing official controls, enabling them to undertake their duties competently and to carry out official controls in a consistent manner, as per legislative requirements. The Official Agency shall identify training needs for staff performing official controls and ensure that staff carrying out official controls are kept up to date in their area of competence and develop specialised expertise, in partnership with the Authority and other Local Authorities. While the provision of training is the primary responsibility of the Official Agency, the Authority may provide training interventions where the Official Agency has highlighted areas where training is required. The Authority will endeavour to facilitate networking and collaboration with other Official Agencies to assist in improving knowledge in such areas. The Authority will provide e-learning resources and training for official control staff so as to promote a consistent understanding and application of new legislation, guidance or procedures, as appropriate. The Official Agency shall support participants in using e-learning resources, disseminating knowledge or skills acquired and encourage the application of learning gained through the Authority’s training in official control activities. The Official Agency shall ensure that contractors used in the performance of the Service Contract provide evidence of Continuous Professional Development and Compliance with this section. Where staff from the Official Agency need to travel outside the Official Agency functional area to attend training courses/meetings, this shall be facilitated by the Official Agency. The Official Agency in partnership with the Authority shall develop and implement training programmes for all staff engaged in the performance of the Service Contract. Where staff have participated in Better Training for Safer Food (BTSF) the training content shall be disseminated to relevant staff/contractors in the Official Agency and other local authorities in partnership with the Authority.

  • Professional Development Plan Professional Development Plan (PDP) refers to plans developed by faculty members addressing the criteria contained in Article 22 and Appendix G.

  • Team Leader In each of the categories described above, a Team Leader, besides knowing all of the specialization and orientation of their category, must have proved certifiable, technical expertise and aptitude, show leadership capabilities in management, coordination, training and work team skills. On the basis of the aforesaid attributes, a person can be promoted to a higher position within the same category and shall be known as Team Leader. The Team Leader will have the necessary knowledge and responsibility for the product, equipment, processes and their quality, Health and Safety Practices, verification of the availability of the necessary inputs and tools, and deviation and follow-up analysis. The Company will select Team Leaders in accordance with Article 14.2 (c). The Team Leader will have authority to direct workers both inside and outside of the bargaining unit.

  • Training and Professional Development C. Maintain written program procedures covering these six (6) core activities. All procedures shall be consistent with the requirements of this Contract.

  • Professional Development Leave A. Policy. Professional development leave shall be made available to employees who meet the requirements set forth below. Such leaves are granted to increase an employee's value to the University through enhanced opportunities for professional renewal, educational travel, study, formal education, research, writing, or other experience of professional value, not as a reward for service.

  • Local Professional Development Committee 1. The Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) shall be established to oversee and review professional development plans pursuant to ORC 3319.22.
