Extra-Curricular Duties. 1. For purposes of this Agreement, extra-curricular programs and activities include all of those that are beyond the provincially prescribed and locally determined curriculum of the School District.
2. The Board and the Association recognize extra-curricular activities as a valuable part of the school program.
3. The Board recognizes the voluntary nature of teacher participation in extra-curricular activities, subject to the School Act and Regulations.
4. While voluntarily involved in extra-curricular activities, teachers shall be considered to be acting in the employ of the Board, for purposes of liability of the Board and coverage by the Board’s insurance.
Extra-Curricular Duties. The BEU recognizes the right of the BSC or its designees to assign administrators to attend extra-curricular activities, and additional duties and responsibilities, such assignments to be made in an equitable manner.
Extra-Curricular Duties. A. The BSC and the BEU acknowledge that a teacher’s primary responsibility is to teach and that his/her energies should be utilized to this end. The BSC and BEU also recognize that there are additional duties and responsibilities of a teacher which must be fulfilled. The BSC agrees that insofar as is practical, such duties and responsibilities shall be equitably assigned.
B. The BEU recognizes the right of the Superintendent or his/her designees to assign teachers to attend extra-curricular activities, such assignments to be made in an equitable manner.
C. Part-time teachers shall not be required to perform non-teaching duties to an extent greater than that fraction of a full-time teaching load, rounded off to the nearest full period, for which they have been hired.
Extra-Curricular Duties. Employees may volunteer to supervise or work at extra-curricular events outside of the regular work day. If the employee volunteers to work at least three (3) events, the employee shall be given a pass for the employee and guest to regularly scheduled activities.

Employees volunteering to supervise pep buses shall also be compensated at the rate of thirty-five dollars ($35.00) per trip supervised. Employees volunteering to supervise at state tournament series held in the District shall also be compensated at the rate of twenty dollars ($20.00) per event supervised.
Extra-Curricular Duties. Teachers applying for paid extra curricular duties will be selected on the basis of qualifications as stated in the posting. Members of the bargaining unit will be given first choice of any position. When qualifications are equal, teachers with greater seniority in the District will be given preference. Any teacher who proposes an approved extracurricular program, that position shall be granted to that teacher for that year and consecutive years.
Extra-Curricular Duties. The following extracurricular duties shall be paid at a rate of $15.00 per hour, per Article L, Section 14. Any grade cards received after that date will be posted to the following year’s Professional Growth records. Permanent Probationary ( 3 Mo. 6 Mo./115 days or 35 Day 70 Day) The purpose of this evaluation is to aid the employee and the supervisor in clarifying and determining the employee’s performance and progress. It has counseling value to both employee and supervisor, and will be reviewed by the supervisor and employee together.
Extra-Curricular Duties. Compensation for extracurricular duties listed on Appendix C when conducted by the District shall be compensated according to Appendix C.

All supplemental or extra duty positions are filled at the discretion of the Board. When a listed duty is part of a paid supplemental position, no extra duty pay will be provided.
Extra-Curricular Duties. Work during home athletic events (including scholars bowl and track) shall be compensated at a rate of $10.00 per hour. Every teacher and spouse shall receive a complimentary pass to home games. The home pass shall not be valid for K.S.H.S.A.A. sponsored events, i.e., sub-state basketball tournaments, etc.
