Extra Time/Overtime. 21 As assigned by the supervisor and approved by a Human Resources administrator, extra time 22 or overtime taken outside the employee's normal workday or year, will be permitted for the 23 completion of duties and responsibilities. Compensation for such days or hours shall be at the 24 employee's regular rate of pay or overtime, whichever is appropriate.

Extra Time/Overtime. Any overtime/extra time available to be worked by bargaining unit members in the Transportation Department shall be rotated based on hire date seniority in the Transportation Department and availability. This rotation shall start with the most senior Transportation bargaining unit member and cycle through the rest of the Transportation bargaining unit before the rotation makes its way back to the most senior bargaining unit member. Extra Time/Overtime. Members of the bargaining unit in their present job classification will be entitled to work extra time/overtime in their respective buildings on a seniority rotation basis, for activities beyond the normal work week. Then extra time/overtime shall be offered district wide within the classification to the most senior bargaining unit member. Extra time is that time that is worked but less than forty (40) hours per week.

  • Banked Overtime In the event the day in lieu of working the statutory holiday is not provided as stipulated in 8.01.04, this portion may also be banked.

  • Planned Overtime In making planned overtime assignments the Employer shall first assign overtime on an equal opportunity basis according to each section’s procedure (Schedule E), as agreed to by the parties. Such overtime shall be assigned to employees who are actively on the payroll and who have indicated their willingness to accept overtime assignments according to section procedures and who are:

  • Scheduled Overtime Scheduled overtime is overtime which is assigned by the end of the employee's last worked shift prior to the overtime assignment and which does not immediately precede or immediately follow a scheduled work shift. Unless notified otherwise in advance of the scheduled starting time of the scheduled overtime assignment, any employee who is scheduled to report for work and who reports as scheduled shall be assigned at least two (2) hours work. If work is not available, the employee may be excused from duty and paid for two (2) hours at the employee's appropriate rate. If the employee begins work but is excused from duty before completing two (2) hours of work, the employee shall be paid for two (2) hours at the employee's appropriate rate.
